HP Black 14" Pavilion DM4-3090SE Beats Edition Laptop PC with Intel Core i5-2450M Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium 4.8 5 4 4
I love this computer!! I will only buy HP computers do to the durability with kids. So I thought this time I would get something just for myself. It was set to ship on May 15th, and here it is the 14th, and I already have it!! It was so easy to set up, has great sound, and it everything I could ask for. I'm actually quite impressed what I received for the price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new computer! 05/14/2012
Great for the Money! So after reviewing the notebooks for a while, and looking for a power packed, compact unit, i stumbled on this laptop. Great display (comparable or better to the apple products), good power, and great price for what you are getting. Some Pros: Great backlit Keyboard! Great Display. Great HD camera for Skype. Great keyboard fell when typing. Some Recommendations: Make sure to get the bigger hard drive as space is easy to fill. The Beats Audio is cool, but depending on your usage, it might not be worth the extra $$ spent. Also, definitely spend the extra money on an extended battery as the sound and cool lights will drain the battery.Overall: For the price, it has more than enough and more! It is a great looking unit, with power, and is a great option if you are looking for a portable nice looking machine. 04/29/2012
Another great HP. This computer is a great balance of performance and portability. Haven't found any negatives yet! 04/18/2012
I love this laptop!!! I think I’m in love! I researched this laptop and many, many others for weeks before I made the final decision and I have to say that I’m glad I did, plus I get to be one of the very first people to post a solid review. Well then, let’s get to it.First of all, I required an Intel i5 processor, 500GB hard drive and a backlit keyboard, my last one was an i3 so I definitely wanted more power but couldn’t afford a computer with an i7. I also wanted something small and light since my other laptop weighs about 6 pounds and has a 17 inch screen. I tested it out with The Sims 3 and it ran smoothly, much better than on the Toshiba.I love the fact that it’s red and black the most. They’re my favorite colors. I also love the fact that the finish is aluminum; my Toshiba’s finish was shiny and black so it is always full of fingerprints and dust. This laptop looks amazing. The Beats by Dr. Dre was also a great selling point. The sound is awesome and the computer even has a subwoofer. I wish that I could have gotten a pair of the Beats headphones to go with it to really get into the sound. I don’t usually listen to music on my laptop but now I will. The audio controls are simpler than on my Toshiba and they work with both Windows Media Player and iTunes, my Toshiba only did WMP.The smaller keyboard will take some getting used to but the keys are quite. I also regret the fact that it doesn’t have a numbers keypad. The hard drive is a little loud but I don’t use it much. It makes a weird sound when it stops (if it persists, I’m exchanging it) and the DVD drive door seems a little flimsy too. It’s a little difficult to open; it’s not necessarily the computer’s fault since I have long acrylic nails but that's never happened before. The screen is bright and the anti-glare is a big, big bonus. It has Bluetooth, HDMI and WiDi too. This laptop has everything that I wanted and whole lot more. I haven’t been this happy about a new laptop since my first one and this is #5. I’ve never had an HP before or never even used one and this experience has been great so far. I will tell anybody who’ll listen because when people see me using this machine, they’re gonna stop and ask me about it anyway lol. 02/07/2012
