Might as well be new! I bought this laptop because my dell inspiron was horrible and finally died after three years. I was really worried about buying this laptop bc its refurbished but the price was right and to my relief it came with absolutely no signs of wear(no dents no scratches), and it runs fast like a new computer. I am a college student and I've been using this pc to compute to school with. It is VERY light weight and doesnt bog me down at all. Also this pc has a finger print swiper which is just awesome. I can use my finger print to log on to my pc, facebook,hotmail and other websites. I mostly use this computer for internet browsing. I dont play online games but I am a computer science student and I can say this hp works great for programming. Oh and the battery life is amazing! I dont bother bringing the charger with me to school bc it can last for a good 5hrs. I only used the webcam once and it takes pretty good pics and videos but I dont skype so i dont know how it would work for that. It came with mircosoft starter-you get word and excel starter. I found that im fine with the starter versions because I can view files and create my own which is all i need.but because there is no powerpoint and a lot of my class notes can only be viewed with powerpt I downloaded a powerpoint viewer software from microsoft.com for free. 01/22/2012
Oh holy simplicity! I never really write reviews but i was kind of tempted to do one just for this product. Its plain simple for those who want the simple things in life. alot of storage space, portability, fingerprint security feature, awesome battery to last a whole day, coolsense technology, wiDi, just to mention but afew. its a good value so why spend more for simplicity's sake!! 02/10/2012
A Great Deal!! I'm a college student studying advertising. I needed a laptop to install my adobe creative suite and microsoft office software. My main concern or buying needs were the number of GB and of course design. The laptop (which I'm on now) has definitely shown promise. Initially, I wanted to go with an Asus because I heard such great performance reviews, but when it came down to it I went the economic smart route. Great laptop, came packaged like new. My friends were all shocked when I told them it was refurbished it literally looks and performs brand new ( no scratches, dings, scuffs, marks, nothing). Move incredibly fast even with the adobe and office software install. Compact, light weight. Two things, the description suggests it comes with only 2 usb ports, this is untrue there are definitely three present and I expected to get the laptop shown in the description and I got a chocolate aluminum looking one instead (very sheek, I love it.) Finger swipe is convenient, works for my log-in, facebook, gmail, twitter, pintrest. Great buy!!! Happy I took the chance on it. Don't let the price scare you, it's definitely a steal!! Laptop is great. This thing is great. Was a little concerned because of marginal reviews on HP website but it is awesome. Sent a Lenovo Thinkpad back because of trouble with the touchpad but this thing is awesome. Stylish, light, and packed with power. Love it. 02/26/2012
