HP 90W Smart-pin Auto/Air/AC Adapter for Notebook PCs, KS474AA 49 51
Quit after less than 1.5 yrs I have owned this product for nearly a year and a half and all of a sudden it quit working. The auto/air cable works fine but the power cord gave out. I tried unplugging and replugging it in but to no avail. For the price, it's not worth it for the plug to already be unusable. I'd recommend using something else for less money. 12/05/2010
Terrible adapter for Pavilion laptop This worked marginally ok for a while though it is very bulky/heavy. Lately it will not work at all unless it is on the charge mode. Just plugging it in and having it run the laptop does not work as the battery keeps getting lower and lower and, finally, I have to put it on charging mode or the battery gets low enough to signal an alert for "low battery." Again, I have to keep it on the Charge mode or it will not power my laptop. Rather, it seems to work as a vampire draining my battery. 10/22/2010
Worst Travel Adapter Purchase Ever I just got this adapter and yes it has a feature to charge or not charge the battery but more importantly whats the point of having a travel adapter (auto/ac/air) if its bulky and heavy? Its like lugging around a brick and is three times the size/weight of the slim travel adapter offered by Dell. I like my HP 8540w notebook but there is one thing Dell got right and that is to offer a slim auto/ac/air adapter which is good for traveling. I have a medium sized Samsonite leather laptop bag and this HP adapter does not easily fit in it - contrary to what others have written. I wish I could find a good SLIM travel adapter for my HP notebook or alternatively an adapter plug end that will allow me to use my Dell travel adapter with my HP notebook. 10/19/2010
Did not last one year I was very satisfied, but before the year of warranty ended, stop working.After 2 hours of comple fustration talking with a service representative situated in I do not wherre, decided to dump it in the garbage 09/08/2010
