Rated 5 out of 5 Pleased I am very pleased with the windows 8 software. takes a minute to get used to, but its a piece of cake. Had trouble finding out how to shut down, but there is an app that shows you how to do anything. I basically use it for school work and other things like video chat and movies. Since windows 8 is new, there are a few glitches and a lot of updating, but it doesn't interfere with me using it. The price is at 399.99 now but got mine for 299.99 on pre-black Friday sales (awesome!) Overall, a great product to buy. 12/01/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by TheGlen1955 Phfffffft! It is what it is, nothing awesome. This laptop is over priced. Picture quality while playing DVD was OK, but nothing to write home about. Not a fan of windows 8. HP threatens that if you install windows 7, they will not make product drivers available to you, but who cares, you go to manufacture's site, and download them yourself. Downloading from manufacture's ensures you have the latest drivers. It's a far cry from my HP Pavilion. That being said, for the average user, who's not expecting much, this laptop will be fine. I would consider this laptop to be a fair back up, in case your decent laptop suddenly goes belly up. 01/23/2013
