Purchased this collar about a week ago and I have had no problems with it so I do not understand the bad reviews. I know that you have to put the batteries in a certain way and they have be just right but it shows you how to do it. I have a Terrier that can not be let off his lead because he will run off and we are wanting to start taking him camping with us this year. We started using this and he is a dream now! I have taken him out back and we have walked around for hours with almost no problems. Once he was corrected about four times he settled down and is enjoying his 'freedom' as much as we are!! I am looking to buy another one for his 'big' brother to get him to stop charging and barking at cows and deer. 03/22/2012
I agree with the others, this collar is junk. I have owned it less than 2 months replaced the batteries several times and it is not working again, very frustrating when you are trying to train a puppy and it only works part of the time. I am planning on returning it to the store tomorrow because I am tired of the hassle. 12/14/2011
