Rated 5 out of 5 by Dres32 Great baby monitor for your buck I read all the reviews on here was not sure if i should get this monitor but i said try it and if it doesnt work i will bring it back and turns out i love it. I have had many monitors through the years this one by far is a great one no static crystal clear and the price is great !!!!! Even if this lasts me a few mths it's worth the money I have had monitors that were over hundred dollars and had so much static this monitor so far sounds great baby sounds loud enough I could even hear the humidifier in the room working and so far it hasn't picked up anyone else on it . The only thing is it has only two adapters for plug which is fine where ever you move with the monitor you just have to either put batteries or take the ac adapter with the monitor still worth saving the money on an expensive one . 12/31/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Guardiola13 not my favorite our apartment isn't vary large but if we took the parent receiver into the the farthest room we heard buzzing and barely heard the kids in their room. If we were in the room right next to theirs (where we didn't need the monitor anyway) there was no buzzing but still barely heard them with the volume all the way up. returned it that day. 12/29/2012

I bought this because we are expecting a second child soon, and we will be moving and putting our toddler in a separate bedroom, and will be needing a monitor for the first time. I saw many reviews complaining about static, and I saw some reviews stating they had no static, so I thought I'd give it a try. For $15, it was worth the gamble, in my opinion, for a simple baby monitor made by what I consider to be a good brand for baby items. I have only just set it up in our bedroom (I plan to use it for my toddler's naptime until we actually move), but so far no static, so my first impression is a great one.Cons: I don't know how this normally goes for baby monitors, but I don't like how the battery compartment works on the parent unit. I don't feel it's necessary to design it so that you need a screwdriver to pry it open (I actually used a spoon handle because I didn't have a screwdriver handy), and it was difficult to close again. So far, that is my only complaint. 12/27/2012
