Graco - Ipo Twin Lightweight Stroller, Platinum 4.6 5 9 10
As described, but hardly lightweight. The product is as the description states - it comfortably seats 2 kids (my 3 month old and my 2 year old) and the recline feature is nice, as is the adjustable foot/leg rest. It was easy to assemble (I did it without assistance in about 10 minutes on the kitchen floor). It also is quite sturdy with the exception of the sun canopies...they seem somewhat useless and a little flimsy but that can be fixed by purchasing a generic add-on sun shade. The stroller opens and collapses very easily and is quite compact when folded. My only complaint is that the word "lightweight" should be nowhere in the name of this product...it's about as heavy as most of the standard double strollers out there and while I can get it in and out of the trunk of my car whithout too much trouble, it's hardly a one handed lift-job.I purchased this stroller rather than the maclaren twin techno because I coudln't fathom spending $325+ on a stroller and I'm not too concerned about the brandname...and I got what was expected for the most part - a good stroller with the features that matter most. 06/02/2010
How did it take me so long to find this stroller? I have 13 month twins, and I tend to be a bit compulsive when it comes to researching gear. I'm not sure why I never came across this stroller when I was deciding which one to get. All I can say is, I'm glad I found it now! My comments:-Nice big wheels--REALLY nice for getting over bumps and things.-It's very roomy without being too wide for doorways. Definitely a good choice for bigger kids. The sun shades are nice and tall and seem fairly generous to me, though they don't swivel all around.-It is heavier than my previous stroller, which makes it a little harder to heft around. But the extra weight makes it a LOT easier to turn. I almost never have the wheels "lock up" on me when I change directions.-There are individual baskets under each seats, which means they are too small for my massive diaper bag habit. But since it only has two handles, there is a "post" of sorts in the middle that's perfect for hanging bags. On my last trip to the mall, it held the diaper bag, my purse, and a shopping bag. And since the stroller isn't too lightweight, I didn't worry about tipping.-No snack tray or drink holders, but to me they add bulk and I'm not worried about them. I'd rather have something simple.-It's a little tricky to get open, but it's getting easier--either it's loosening up or I'm getting the hang of it.This may not have been my stroller of choice for tiny twins, but it is a definite winner for my toddlers. Glad I didn't drop tons of money on an expensive stroller! 07/08/2010
Great Stroller This stroller is still holding up after three years of use. Folds down nicely for a twin stroller. Not too heavy. Reclining seats. 5 point harness. All you need for a mom of two young ones or twins :). Love it! 12/09/2010
Lifesaver... We bought this stroller to accommodate our 2 1/2 yr old and 11 mos old. I don't know how I managed to get around w/o a double stroller for so long, but now I can't imagine going somewhere w/o it!It is SO easy to use - opens by stepping on a pedal and closes w/ the turn of a handle. It takes up only the same amount of space as the single stroller that came w/ our travel system, so I can actually USE my trunk. Nice storage baskets for the kids' stuff and it rolls very smoothly. My kids actually love to sit in it and have fallen asleep in it, so it must be fairly comfortable. ;-)The front wheels have a locking option that prevents them from swiveling so that the stroller can be pushed easier over really bumpy surfaces, like the areas around the soccer fields at our local park.Only a couple downsides.1) I sometimes graze the center wheel w/the bottom of my foot when I'm really hitting my stride, but not often. My husband has mentioned doing the same, but only occasionally. However, he's 6 ft tall and says that it's still comfortable for him to push and that he doesn't have to hunch over to reach the handles as he has had to w/ other strollers.2) There are no cup holder for the adult and the sunshades don't do much. However these issues can be addressed with add-ons for relatively little $.OVERALL...BUY IT! :-) 05/30/2011
