Graco - CarGo Booster Car Seat, Reid 4.4 5 33 36
Great seat for a child over 2y/o! I bought this seat as a spare for my 3y/o. I have long belt stalks in the 3rd row of my minivan which makes car seat installations very difficult. But this seat installed quick, easy and rock solid! The fabric is very nice, the top harness slots are very tall (17”!) which means that this seat is great for a tall & lightweight child. I would ONLY recommend that you use this seat if your child is at least 2y/o and or 35lbs. because it is safest for a child to stay rear facing for as long as possible. This seat also turns into a booster seat BUT a poor one. It does place the seat belt correctly but the belt guides do not allow the vehicle seat belt to retract if the child leans forward. You could lock the seat belt which would help this but still, an older child’s shoulders are going to be squished! If you are looking for a forward facing car seat that also turns into a good booster I would recommend the Graco Nautilus. 03/17/2009
Great Product, Great Value After much research we decided on buying this car seat for our baby when she turned 1 and was able to go forward facing. We have a Graco infant seat and love the value and quality of Graco products. We chose this car seat over the Nautilus because it still accommodates the 20 - 100lb weight range, it's anywhere from $30 - $50 cheaper, it's still a Graco, AND it is slimmer so it doesn't take up all of the backseat of our Civic. We can put it in the center and still have room for passengers to fit on either side of the car seat. So far we love it. It only took 5 minutes to install, our baby is comfortable and can sleep in it without her head falling forward, and it seems like it is a good quality product that will last for a good while. 01/20/2009
Good quality for good price I wanted a 5-point booster seat that didn't weigh 20lbs, like other convertible seats. We have 2 Britax Boulevards, which we love, but we wanted a seat for our 2-year-old that we could take on the plane and put in numerous cars while on vacation.There aren't a whole lot of choices out there for light weight boosters that STILL have a 5-point harness. Most are huge and weigh a ton.This Graco seat is exactly what I wanted. It weighs under 10 lbs, has a 5-point harness, and converts to a seat-belt-only booster once our child is 40 lbs.It's narrow and portable, yet like all Graco products, its quality is high enough to use as an every day seat. It doesn't have the bells & whistles (or safety rating) like the $300 Britax....but its only $99 and, well, its not a Britax.If you want an affordable, narrow, light-weight quality seat, the Graco Cargo is the one for you! 09/18/2009
Very helpful. We have 2 toddlers and an infant. We purchased 2 of these seats. We were looking for something that was narrow enough to fit all 3 carseats in our car, yet durable and safe. We love this seat. We fit 2 of them along with an infant seat in our vehicle with no problems! Its safe, sturdy and lightweight! 03/05/2009
