Rated 1 out of 5★ by jmp0bzf02 I got this tree stand on 10/09/2012 hoping the Gorilla name brand would be a smart purchase. I was very disappointed in the tree stand. The stand was RUSTY when I removed it from the box an the pin that hold the cable cable in is broke. Am taking mine back to the store to by a SUMMIT. I already own one, and who was I think I could find a cheap Quality deal. 10/10/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by BlackMagicTinkIsJunk My first ever tree stand, and its a climber. My father has always had tree stands and has let me use them. The past few years I have been hunting out of a blind which hasnt brought me any luck, but it sure is comfy, so I have been spoiled by that.So finally I'm hunting in a spot where sitting in my blind on the ground isnt cutting it any more. I went to my local walmart hoping to find 1 climbing tree stand, I didnt care which one it was. Walmart had this one. I didnt hesitate to buy the only one left and its half way through deer season, lucky me.I get it home open the box everything was there. The only assembly you have to do is hook the back pack straps on, and the seat. The directions are HORRIBLE and I spent a couple hours trying to figure how to operate this stand.I finally got to try it tonight, I was skeptical because someone only gave it 1 star, probably couldnt figure out the directions... Dont blame them there. Anyways this is my first climber so I have ZERO comparisons. Its easy to climb with and once you are up to your desired height this thing is COMFORTABLE. It suggests a tree a minimum diameter of 8". I set it up in a tree approximately 10-12" in diameter and it worked great. This stand is also rated for 300 lbs, the 1 star reviewer said something bent. I was skeptical about this since with hunting clothes, boots, and rifle im probably pushing 260. The stand didnt balk one bit!One thing I dont like about this stand is that it is heavy to lug around and its kind of a pain to hook up to a tree and when you are done un hook it from the tree.I would recommend this stand to anyone who needs a climber in a pinch or just to have a nice comfortable seat.
