Rated 5 out of 5 by talkingfamily Great value for my first treamill
I was looking for something to help me loose weight and not spend a ton of money especially before the holidays and found this Gold's Gym treadmill. I was really interested in the weight loss workouts and was anxious to give to shed a few pounds. My husband also thought it was a good value as the motor size was the same as the one a $100 more. My husband and I put this together and found the instructions easy with only a little hiccup between me reading and him following, took us less than an hour. I didnt realize the machine folded up which was a nice feature and I started using it and like being able to select the programs, the machine is quite and like walking on it and plan on using it daily to hit my goal.

I got this treadmill after deciding that it would be a good match for what I was looking for. I didnt need anything to fancy, just looking to shed some unwanted pounds after the holidays. After getting it home it took me about an hour and a half to put together by myself, which made my husband happy that he didnt need to help when he got home. The instructions were fairly straight forward which made it all the better. It is quiet when it is running and everything seems to operate smoothly. The workouts that are programmed in are also a nice added bonus. Overall I would say for the price this was a very good choice and I'm glad I made it.

I've been looking around for an affordable treadmill for months and when I saw this Gold’s Gym treadmill for under $300 it caught my attention. I went ahead and purchased this one and thought I would take a risk. I am very happy to discover that the negative comment was not accurate and that this is nice a treadmill that I have enjoyed working out on. There were no missing or damaged parts and the machine is quiet and easy to use and has built in programs to help you get you started. If you follow the instructions, it shows you exactly what to do to during assembling the machine and it took me just under an hour.
Rated 1 out of 5 by fitmamajama total waste of time and money
We spent the extra money to buy the cheapest of the Gold's Gym brand, boy was it cheap!!! The box came damaged, the plastic was cracked, we ended up setting it up anyways which took 3 hours! It didnt run! It sounded like an old car, putter-putter?? Yea, so we called the customer service number which was no help, when we finally got through they said they didnts have any spare parts for this treamill and would be a wait longer than 90 days!!! but get this, the warrrenty ends in 90 days!!! no thank you! SO we called up our walmart store who the customer service manager was nice, and understood our problem, and returned it.
Rated 4 out of 5 by rritter Works great but difficult to assemble
We bought this treadmill to replace one my wife had for many years. The price was right and we ordered site to store. The unit arrived in 5 days, quick. This unit could be better designed from the assembly standpoint. The old treadmill had three assembly parts but this one had several and it required two people to do much of the work. This required about two hours work.
Once assembled and a quick read of the operating directions everything worked as described. Though it offers several workout options my wife will stay with the straight walking at a small incline setting as she has always done.
Bottom line this is a treadmill that works as its features list but could be better designed from the assembly stand point.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Orion30 great treadmill
This was my first treadmill and Iam very pleased with it.Had some help carrying it into my home, but put it together by myself, had it all put together in an hour.I love the 6 programs all tho it only took my about a month to go to level 5 and thats starting out as a 215lbs couch patato lol tread mill does shake a little when walking and jogging around 3.5 mph but besides that i love it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by myrnac Exceptional value for the price.
I am very pleased with this treadmill. It does everything I need and then some. I would highly recommend it.
One caveat though: It's unassembled. Some reviewers said it took them one to one and a half hours to assemble. It took us three hours. If you do it yourself or have someone else do it, It's worth it.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kalcrest Pros: This arrived a day earlier than expected and I was able to start assembly that day. As a beginner the price is right. It folds to take up much less space. I like the 6 pre-programed workouts, though 4-6 are probably way in my future. It's quiet so I'm able to watch the TV while I excercise. So far so good after 3 weeks. All assembly parts are numbered precisely (see below)
Cons: It's a lot heavier than I expected and you probably need help assembling it. (There are wheels after assembly to move it then). Mine was apparently dropped in transit and the case over the motor was damaged (the screw mounts were broken) but I was able to pop it back and used tape to secure the case. Read the instructions carefully. Being a guy I assumed too much used wrong screws) and made some mistakes which slowed my progress. And the "Frame Spacers" (step 5) are next to impossible to insert; get creative (screwdriver to pry and needle nose to insert). A required extra purchase is a surge protector. Good Luck.
Rated 2 out of 5 by AmatuerJogger Treadmill was difficult to assemble as pieces are not adequately labeled and machine was not designed well. The plastic molding that surrounds the machine base was broken upon opening. Machine feels like the base will give way when running, and when first starting up there is a minor slip with the belt.
Overall though, even with these honest issues, the machine does exactly what it says it will and I have no issues running on it. Its a cheaper treadmill, but acknowledging this when you buy will help you appreciate its simplicity. I bought it with the intentions to run it into the ground prior to the warranty expiring, but to date the machine is holding up well. Nearly 2 months of daily running down and one to go.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mujahid Good value for the price, complicated assembly
This is the cheapest treadmill I found with the cool features I wanted. Not bulky, space saver. Previously I owned an expensive and bulky treadmill, which had a lot of features I never used. This one has the features I always use. I gave it a one less star because of its complicated assembly procedure.
Rated 1 out of 5 by muni1979 worst treadmill and worst customer support
After unboxing and investing lot of effort in assembling treadmill worked for sometime and after that it stopped. When I reach the support its a nightmare I could not able to get hold even a single person I have to hear all the stupid music till I loss my patientce and cut the line
Rated 3 out of 5 by Flordemayo You get what you pay for.
I purchased this treadmill for my husband. The instructions for the assembly were not clear. We had to guie ourselves looking at the pictures. The cover for the motor was cracked in a couple of places. Also the way how the treadmill stands upright when is supposed to be "closed",, the knob that holds it is too weak, so I just leave down at all times. At the end I was not really pleased with the purchase.
Rated 1 out of 5 by terribledesign if you like spending hours putting it together
I'm sure the quality of performance of this machine is amazing, but the time spent to put it together is almost not even worth it. Not only are the parts difficult to assemble, but running the wires through the frame, is near impossible, it took me 10 mins before I could even get the connector through the right arm piece, if a company is going to make a hole one size on one end, why not have the same size hole on the other side so its easier to put together. I dont think people should have to have a workout to start a workout routine. I'm pretty sure in all of Gold's Gym wisdom they wanted this to be easy build, but hey guess what....ITS NOT!!!! Try and do something more easier
Rated 4 out of 5 by poptartGA I really like this treadmill. My crosswalk broke and I needed a treadmill, but didn't have alot of money to spend. It is NOT heavy duty, but it worth the 300.00. It is not as loud as my crosswalk, but it is also not quiet. If your using headphones than your ok. You won't hear any noise, but I like using it in fron of the TV for time to pass by faster. I have to turn the TV louder than I normally would. I love the 6 programs it has. They are 30 mins and a great work out. I hope the calorie counter is correct becuase it shows I have been buring alot of calories. Kinda too good to be true. The pulse hand grips are sometimes off. I just know. Its ok though becuase for the price I am very happy.
It doesnt have a spot for my drink. That bothers me! I'm going to buy a cheap clip and attached it to the side of the readmill.
I am 28 and this is the first treadmill I have ever put togther. I did it myself in 45 mins, but I needed help lifting the walking platform to put in the bolts though. I did have ALOT of leftover screws and washers. Some weren't needed. lol. ( cross my fingers#
I have had it for 2 months and very happy with my purchase. The folks stating it took 3-5 hours, seriously read the directions and look at the pictures. It is easier with an electric screw driver and not a hand one. hmmmmmm any others info........
there isnt alot of room to put things near the display. It only holds my phone and #2) 3lb weights.
and the handle bars arent wide enough sometimes. I have had to train myself to keep my hand cloer to my body while running or my hands will smack right into the handle bars on the side. Ouch!
Rated 4 out of 5 by LissaMay Isn't a bad treadmill for home use.
I have to say that this isn't a bad product for home use, but is a step down when you are used to going to the gym. It's incline features are awesome, and it gets up to a high enough speed to use for training. The only downside to this treadmill is it doesn't seem as sturdy when you are running at about 7mph and wobbles somewhat if you have the incline at it's highest. I do think it is more for ppl 170lbs and under.
Rated 1 out of 5 by BilboTheHobbit Do not buy this treadmill!!
This is the first treadmill I ever bought. I thought it would be good for a starter like me. When I got the treadmill, the box was ripped and in terrible condition. You could see the treadmill through a large hole of the box. When I opened the box, I noticed that the front of the bottom of the treadmill had a lot of tape on it because of bad cracks and a large falling chunk of the plastic. I decided not to set up and use the treadmill, put it back in the box, and immediately returned it to Walmart.
Rated 5 out of 5 by JacInFlag Great!
As good or better than machines costing much more.
Rated 4 out of 5 by mrijeff40 Good treadmill for a starter. Works great. Easy to use. Has options like pulse rate that you usually find in higher priced treadmills.
Rated 5 out of 5 Love the size of this treadmill
This product is one of the best items I have purchased recently. The quality is great. I also think their customer service was very good.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 60411 Very Satisfied!
I purchased the Gold's Gym Trainer 315 Treadmill about two weeks ago. I must admit it took me and my son about 5 hours to set it up. However, after training on it for the last couple of weeks I have to say I am very satisfied with this product. It wasn't expensive and operates better than I expected. If anyone purchase this product just place it on a rug or place matts under it, if you intend to run, to stop it from sliding and you will be pleased. I wouldn't recommend this product for someone over two hundred pounds and plan to run on it. I weight about 170lbs. and it suites my purpose perfect. I recommend this product to anyone that intend to walk on it, and to anyone under 200lbs. that plan to run on it. When I received the box it was damaged, but the treadmill had no damage.
