Rated 4 out of 5 by Sangwich Love It I did a lot of research and ended up purchasing this Gold's Gym StrideTrainer 410 Elliptical. I have used it everyday for a month and have lost weight already. It is very sturdy and I like the pre programmed workouts. I have heard static with the ifit card and it did take two hours to assemble. One thing that is annoying is that it does not come with the AC adapter and requires 4 D batteries not included. I think this is a great value compared to other higher priced ellipticals. 01/31/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by FarmerGirl1973 Two Different Machines - Different Broken Parts! I am extremely frustrated right now. Last Friday, my husband and I purchased this elliptical. We spent 2 hours putting it together Saturday only to find out the machine was not communicating with the console - apparently a bad sensor. Walmart happily exchanged the elliptical for another one. (Thank you Walmart.) In the process of putting the new one together today, I went to spin the fly wheel to make sure the console would register correctly and the right-side flywheel cover fell off in my hand. I tried several times to put it back on and then inspected further to find THREE of the clips are BROKEN! My husband called the number on the front of the manual and stayed on hold for almost an hour before getting frustrated and hanging up. After reading many VERY NEGATIVE reviews for this particular warranty company online, he has now decided to fix the problem with the cover himself instead trying to go back through Walmart or the warrant company again. So far, I am not impressed at all with Gold's Gym products. I feel for the money I spent on this elliptical, I should NOT have found broken parts. Ridiculous!!! I would not recommend this elliptical to my worst enemy. AND I ONLY gave it one star because I didn't have the option to give it NONE! 05/24/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by hobsonschoice DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I read the reviews that were mixed, some people giving it horrible reviews with only 1 star and others giving it decent reviews. So I took my chances and I took the time to create an account just to fill in this review so no one else makes the same mistake I did. The product arrives without batteries or a power connection, so despite costing almost $400 provides no way to actual turn it on. The left pedal didn't fit on the crank arm so I had to call for a replacement part. When I called and waited on hold to talk to customer service at the number provided for Gold's in the manual they told me I needed to talk to parts, another transfer, another hold, then the parts department told me I needed to go to another company called Icon Service and register my product in order to get a replacement product.I expected more from Walmart and Gold's, but looking at the reviews, I'm the one who feels like a sucker for not listening to other people with similar experiences. Don't be a sucker like I was, buy a better product 11/23/2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by brimcBAM Good Value, Poor Customer Service by Equipment Co Though the machine is a great value, the manual provides you no sort of information on how to maintain and keep your elliptical lubricated. Unfortunately the service company, Icon Fitness, does not employ enough customer service agents who are knowledgeable and available to answer your questions. (average 30-45 minutes phone hold times I'm told by one of their own service reps) 04/02/2012
