    Customer Product Reviews

    Rated 3.2 out of 5★ by 21reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Overall Good... Like the other reviewer, I compared Gold's plyo box to other boxes of various heights to be, at least, 2-3x less in price than any other similar boxes. I purchased it online and had it shipped to site. It arrived 5 days earlier than projected. Assembly is required, however, unlike the other reviewer, took me approx. 35 min to "force" alignment of nuts/screws. Very frustrating. Also, based on the few light scratches on the product, it looked like it was possibly a returned item. Nevertheless, finally assembled it and then tested it. The jump box will be primarily used for plyometric work. I'm 5'4" and 125lbs after breakfast and a cup of decaf;)Pros:- The legs are a bit clanky/wobbly. Not enough for a return but just enough to slightly annoy and to bring the rating down to good vs great.- Leg locks are simple and easy to use.- Three adjustable heights 12", 16", 20"- Price. However, I did notice that the price just went up by $5ish since my purchase just a week ago.Cons:- The box top measures 12"x12". It's adequate for me but for those who are bigger might find it too narrow.- The box legs are a bit wobbly/clanky. Less at 12" and 16" and a little more pronounced at 20". I did place the box on a rubberized mat to ensure stability and avoid possible floor scratching.- The weight limit is 250lbs. Not necessarily a con for me but, might be for those who plan to use the box with heavy weights. 05/06/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Good product, slightly better than I expected! I wasn't able to find any reviews online on this product and was a little cautious ordering it, but took a chance and got it yesterday. It took about 15 mins to put it together and jump box actually feels sturdier in person than on pictures. I looked at solid jump boxes, but they all were at least double the price than Gold's Gym so I couldn't justify it.I was mainly going to use it for step-up lunges with weights and I think it will serve my purpose just fine. I am expecting to use it with about 150 lbs of free weights and I am 6'-4" 210 lbs.Pros:- Feels solid (more solid than on pics)- Leg locking mechanism in person feels better than on pics- Adjustable height gives me options with workoutsCons:- It's not big; top is about 20x20 inches which might be too small for some people- There is probably a limitation of free weights, but I don't think I will reach it soon. 04/17/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Awesome product idea, but poor quality I've long wanted an adjustable plyometric box, and this one is very affordable. However, it arrived with 1 of the 4 welded square brackets snapped off, so clearly it's not designed for the rigors of repeated jumping. I called the company and they offer no replacement parts for this item so I'm just getting a refund. I just hope someone else will finally invent a quality plyo box! 07/06/2013
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Nice but be aware... This is exactly what I needed for my Tacfit26! The price was also great before it changed 2 days later $20 higher (got mine for $49.99). The only potential issue is that on the 16" and 20" setting it is a little wobbly until you put your full weight on it. That being the case I wouldn't use it on a floor where it can slide. Only use on carpet or another surface that will resist it moving. 05/18/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Works very well for what I use it for... I use this plyo box for weight resistant single-leg squats (AKA step-ups.) It's rated for 250lbs, but can handle more for this use. I think it's rated at a 250lbs weight limit to stay on the safe side for those planning to actually use it for which it's designed, plyo jumping (jumping on and off of it) at the highest 20" level. As a test at the 20" level, I stepped on top of it with a total of 300lbs (I weigh 180lbs and wore a 50lb weight vest while holding 35lb dumbbells in each hand) and it solidly handled the weight without any movement or apparent strain at all.The price seems to fluctuate a lot for this item. I bought it when it was $46, which is an excellent value. 06/04/2013
Rated 3 out of 5★ by Slightly wobbly I liked the idea of adjustable height, but the legs do not fit snugly into the stool and the effect is that it is a a little wobbly at the middle and highest settings. Overall, the stool heavy and pretty substantial, so it does not feel like it will break or collapse but there is definitely some move movement when you step or jump up on it.It will serve the purpose and is a decent price, not for you if you want a rock solid jump box. 07/04/2014
Rated 3 out of 5★ by good in a pinch This product is ok at best. The top is smooth and not non slip (i will be adding skateboard deck tape to mine). Also it gets more and more wobbly the higher you make it. The leg extensions are not snug within the main piece. At the lowest two levels it isn't too bad of a product. Easy to put together. 06/14/2014
Rated 1 out of 5★ by never even got to use it I am very upset because i bought this probably at least 6 months ago. as soon as i stepped on it, just to test it, it just buckled, bent and the platform ripped off. Thankfully I didnt try jumping on it. I only weight 180 pounds. the receipt is loooong gone. what a waste of money. 06/21/2013
