Gold's Gym 18" Foam Roller 4.4 5 20 24
tl;dr satisfied with purchase I am convinced that this foam roller turned out to be a good purchase and here's why. Yesterday I went to the gym used the treadmill and leg press machines and I've pushed myself to my limit. I went back home and stepped out of my truck and I could really feel how sore my legs were. So I decided to use the foam roller I've purchased and did some leg stretches with it and it helped. I was impressed by how it reduced the stress in my muscles. Before I used it, I was thinking about how sore will be the next day. That day being today and I feel pretty good and ended up doing some running in my neighborhood. I thought today will be a rest day, but nope I'm still going and I will use the foam roller later at the end of the day.I think this size 18" is workable. It is long enough for parts of the back. For me, the roller sits above or close to the tailbone and I use a pillow to support my head while using the foam roller parallel with my back. What I do seems to work, I'm not sure if a longer one will add any benefits, perhaps a longer one could fit the entire back from head to end of tailbone, but isn't necessary for me. 06/24/2011
Great product! Great product, larger than expected. I was expecting one of the thinner ones, similar to a pool noodle but larger and sturdier. This is bigger than a softball, smaller than a volleyball. It is much better for sit ups and other exercises. I really appreciated the extra paperwork/poster for exercise ideas. 02/15/2012
Ouch, but a good ouch My massage therapist suggested this roller for me to release tight muscles in my legs. And it does do that, but it is HARD. She even said she can't put all her weight on the roller. So I now do a modified version where I sit in a chair and manually with my hands, roll the roller down my quads and on the sides of my legs. Just resting your calves on the roller can be painful. Who knew you could be so painfully bunched up? Use this roller and you will know where you store stress! Very versatile for many positions and stretches even. 06/03/2011
Hurts so Good This was for my girlfriend, here is her review =)...It is Very Hard, but also so helpful. Cracking and massaging my back by myself has never been so easy, and my abs get a nice workout while I'm at it! Can't do all the moves that they give as examples because it is So Hard that it hurts to much (outer thighs & arm moves) but my Back Loves It!! 05/17/2011
