Rated 3 out of 5 by GadgetGuyMark Good, but no expanding adjustment mechanism I just bought the bar assuming that its adjustment was by way of some kind of expanding, screw-type mechanism that would squeeze the bar into the door-frame. My hope was to use the bar in the metal frame of my office door at work, someplace where I am not really allowed to mount brackets. When the bar arrived by site-to-store, I found that the box says "Adjustable length by turning one end of the bar." That sure sounds like the kind of screw-type mechanism that I was imagining. But when I opened the box, I found that the bar is simply made up of two hollow bars, one sliding inside the other. There is NO screw-type expansion mechanism inside. Using the bar without brackets is not an option. I will say that the bar is very nicely-made. Heavy tubes, with no slack. If I decide to mount it somewhere, I'm sure it will work well. 01/20/2013
