Get some assistance in watering a backyard or anything needing a good soaking, all thanks to the Gilmour 593 Pistol Grip Nozzle. This item comes with a hold-open clip for continuous spraying of plants, flowers, grass, or any object you wish to give a good drink. The Gilmour nozzle has a black vinyl handle that is molded on and cushioned for a comfortable grip, so you can use it easily. The male hose has a threaded front for attaching accessories. This heavy-duty nozzle also features a solid brass valve stem with a permanent adjusting nut and a rust-resistant, stainless-steel spring. It comes in a full size, die-cast zinc body. A self-adjusting seal is included in the packing so that you do not accidentally trigger the hose to start working at inopportune times.

I bought this to spray the solar panels on my roof - the spray on this nozzle is awesome!  I can reach the top of the top panel at the peak of my roof.  The screw (tighter or looser) on the back of the nozzle handle determines if you're spraying plants or shooting a "fireman's stream" for washing a car or solar panels!  Very happy with my purchase.

Works great so far. Only had for 2 weeks. Much better than the thumb control sprayers.

Much heavier duty than normal nozzles. I'm buying my 4th one of these for different locations in my house. I've never used the popular fireman's garden hose nozzle, but those look like too many rubber parts to split and break if I keep dropping the nozzle on concrete. For now, I won't buy any other nozzle than Gilmour 593. Plus, I can screw on a flower watering tip ("water breaker") onto the end. I prefer the 1000 breaker instead of 400 breaker, Walmart model number 1082342.

This nozzle works great. I have it on a new hose and no leaks or dripping anywhere. I like the way it works you can adjust the stream from spray to solid stream by how much you squeeze the trigger

I am a farmer and recently threw away all the other water hose nozzles in favor of the Gilmours.

The 'others' all came with agressive marketing descriptions and low prices, but - in the long run - failed - and they ended up in the trash can.

We use these nozzles at work on a daily basis and they are pretty durable as we use them several hours a day and more importantly they put out a good amount of water pressure.  I ordered two from Walmart, but had to return one of them because it was kind of sticking and not turning all the way off when you would let up on the handle, but I wouldn't hesitate to order them again because they do tend to last longer then the ones I have bought from Home Depot.
