Giga Tent Mt. Springer Family Cabin 8-10 Person Tent, 10' x 15' 4.8 5 4 4
Excellent tent with great customer service I am an avid camper and a boyscout leader.I purchased the mt. springer tent for my son and I to use on camping trips with the scouts. The tent is awesome. I like the 2 separate rooms 1 for sleeping, 1 for hanging out. The zippers work well with no snag issues. The instructions are weak but if you are familiar with tents, it goes up easy. The tent also has a real good waterproofing on the fly and tent. Better than most 3 season tents. I did have an issue with the Y connectors. they had a little surface rust on then. I called customer service they were very pleasant to talk to and sent me replacements immediately. I would recommend this tent to anybody who loves camping. If you want a quality tent with great customer service, buy a gigatent. They also offer a good warranty 12/28/2011
Great space bad setup instructions. This tent is spacious and has great ventilation (lots of windows and doors) for hot vacation places. We stayed in it for 5 days and had one day of light rain and stayed dry. We were roughing it and it was great to have a big space for my then almost 1 year old to move around. Although only buy this if you are excellant at puzzles and putting things together without instructions. It has a lot of pieces and the instructions are so bad you might as well use them to light your fire. 03/22/2012
Perfect for family I had researched about 100 tents before buying this one. We have always used the cheaper tents, and as long as you take good care of them they would last but would always leak, even when seam sealed...mostly due to the condensation here in florida. However I wanted something that would last us for years to come would be well built and large enough for our family of four and some extras, just in case. When I first put this tent up in my back yard to seam seal it (which btw doesn't take long and is cheap and well worth doing on any tent) I was instantly in love with it. It is a very sturdy tent, I put it up by myself which was a bit challenging but I am very knowledged in tent structure, so someone who has never put up a tent this might be a bit of a challenge bc the instructions are a bit vague, however I do suggest before taking it down on your dry run you mark the poles and color code. I did this mainly for my husband so he could set it up easily. The construction of this tent is fabulous, it's huge! The rain fly is made with a thicker material than the rest of the tent which is awesome since the roof is screen and now I won't worry so much about rain. We went on a large family camping trip with a queen air mattress my kids prefer their slepping bags so 2 sleeping bags with plenty of walking room left in the back area alone, the front area stored all our gear perfectly as well as my two 13 yr old nephews with plenty of space. The zippers on this tent are the best I have ever seen really easy to open and close. This tent is absolutely worth every penny and then some, a great investment. There is plenty of air flow from all the openings and all the screen is no see um screen so NO bugs getting in, unless you leave a zipper open. 03/21/2012
Great roomy comfortable tent I love this tent. Its is HUGE. I like that we can use the back room for sleeping (and it easily and very comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 children) and then use the front room as a "living room"/"dressing room"/"storage room". My husband is 6 feet tall and he can stand fully upright with plenty of room in this tent. In fact I am 5'5" and I cannot reach the ceiling of the tent in the middle. Unlike a dome tent, there is absolutely no crouching around inside. It is fairly easy to set up once you have done it at least one practice time, but it does take 2 people to do it. We havent had rain on any of the camping trips we have been on since our purchase, so I cant tell you how it will hold up in stormy weather. But so far, after 3 uses, no complaints whatsoever. 02/22/2012
