Rated 1 out of 5★ by Parindra Good until it bends I bought this because I love to go primitive skills camping and I saw how having a saw would make things a lot easier until I learn how not to need it. So I picked up this guy.I gotta admit, I was really happy at first. I didnt buy it for the Bear Grylis name. I bought it for the Gerber name. I just came back from 2 weeks in the woods and indeed having a saw made my life amazing.Everything was great until I got home. I used it to cut down a branch, and the blade was sooo flexible that it completely bent in different parts. It wouldn't even close.I'm disapointed that this flemsy product was made by Gerber.Dont waste your time. While it cuts great, its too fragile for real use. Get a saw with a more stronger blade, that is what I am going to do. 05/29/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by PabloBigDog Blade snapped off, after only 3 hours of use. I bought this Gerber hand saw, to use while Deer hunting, two years ago. This past week, I used it for the first time, at home, doing yard work, cutting small branches, etc., and, although I was very careful, while using it, the blade snapped in two while sawing through an approximately 1 1/2" branch. So far, I have not found out whether there is an unlimited warranty on the blade, or, not??? I plan to find out about this, as soon as possible, and, return it, for an exchange, if possible? Yes, I am somewhat disappointed with the blade quality! No, I do not plan to buy another one! 06/10/2013
Rated 4 out of 5★ by DnvrBC2317 My husband bought this to just have something in our camp gear, we used it a couple of times, he has shown me that with this small simple to use saw you can cut up quite a few sticks. He was showing me this while teaching my daughter and I how to start a fire with a magnesium fire starter kit and a cotton ball.... having larger sticks cut to length really helped to keep the fire going while building a good base for when you add the larger chunks.... Over all it's not a real bad saw, although it seems to cut better as you draw it backwards. Should come in real handy if you are in a tight spot!!!! 10/14/2012
