Rated 5 out of 5★ by bossman99 GREAT scouting knife This knife was shipped in one day, and out of the box was razor sharp. After five days of using it it was still razor sharp. So it holds a great edge. The handle is SO grippy and feels great in my hand even when wet. The belt clip stay in my pocket really well and does not fall out . Over all this knife is great and I would recommend it to anyone. 09/29/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by havenwood Timing not good I ordered the survival knife that was on sale that had the sheath that came with it for a birthday present. Birthday was Oct 30th. Of course I received the scouting knife. I kept the scouting knife for a Christmas present for another person and had to reorder the survival knife for the birthday present making it a late birthday present. Dissappointed. Do not have any idea on how either knife performs. 10/31/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by ewonk Nice grips, blade, good deployment I want a good solid knife that I can deploy rapidly single-handed. This is a good knife. I have better, but those are $150 to $200 items. For its price, this knife is just fine. I oiled the mechanism with Break-Free CLP, and after practicing one-handed deployment a little bit over several days, it seems to be getting smooth and reliable. It takes a bit getting used to because it starts out kind of stiff on deployment. But it gets good. The Rubber grip is really nice once you get used to it. I see no up-and-down play in the blade, and minimal side-to-side play. I haven't done much cutting with it, but initially it is razor sharp. I got this as a substitute for my "good" knife that I can take places where I might end up loosing it. It will be totally up to that, and in time I may come to appreciate it more than I do now. No complaints about this one. For the price, you can't go wrong. The screws on this knife are apparently mechanically engineered and machine tightened. You can't unscrew them to remove the pocket clip, for example. You would break normal star bits trying to do so. So it is what it is, F.Y.I. 06/19/2014
