No, it really doesnt have the waffle plates. I just got my grill yesterday and was very disappointed. I went to the George Foreman site and they dont even make waffle plates for this model.

No Anne, it does NOT & that is the only reason I purchased this specific Grill....very big disappointment & I even got a response from them when I asked not to be charged for this grill unless they could be certain it did come with the Waffle Plates & they said it should contain everything it states it would have!

It does turn on with a control and that, I like! You set the temp and the timer, and it does beep to alert you that it's pre-heated so as to put food on and again, when it's done. Although my initial reaction to this item was very negative, I'm learning to like it.

Yes, I leave mine plugged in and just turn it on as needed and the temp can be raised and lowered by control as well.

the unit has a power button and then separate controls for the thermostat and timer. It is nice, once you set the temperature the timer lets you know how long it will take to pre-heat. Then you can set the timer to make sure you don't overcook the meal.

No on and off switch, just plug it in and it is on. When it gets to the temp that you choose, it beeps. We love this grill. Clean up is SO easy.

no waffle plates in mine - you CANNOT turn the plates over - they are only a grill on 1 side. The plates are very easily removable & easy to wash in the sink (I don't have a dishwasher).

The deal did say waffle plates, but there were none included in mine and the plates were only for broiling. They are not able to be turned over, so that is not an option...

This particular unit does not have waffle plates. There was one being sold by another company that looked similar that had waffle plates for more money. I believe you can purchase waffle plates separate. The plates are removable and dishwasher safe, making for very easy clean up.

No waffle plates. Yes, the plates are removeable for cleaning and dishwasher safe, but I hand wash mine - clean up is a breeze. I love this grill. There is no on/off swithc, just plug it is. You set the time and the temp. It heats up to 425 at the highest. When it reaches the desired temp, it beeps, so you know it is ready. It also beeps when the timer is done. It works really great. It does seem to heat hotter in the center area, about a 7 - 8 inch area - food gets browner in that area. We had one this size, but without the removable plates. It was too hard to clean. This one is just great.

Waffle plates were not included in mine but, I knew this in advance. I do not need the waffle plates. I agree, it should be taken out of the description.

We got this for Christmas. We had a George Foreman grill that was this same size, but it didn't have the removable plates. We really loved that one, but cleaning it was really difficult. This one has the removeable plates. They can go in the dishwasher, but they clean up so easily, I just hand wash them. I did use a bit of olive oil on them before the 1st 2 uses. I didn't use the spray on like PAM - it says not to use that. I just put some on a paper towel and got a light coat on both plates. It does take a bit longer to cook salmon that is thicker, but I don't mind. I love the timer and temperature control. It gets up to 425 degrees. It heats up pretty fast. It beeps when that temp is reached. It does seem to heat more towards the center of the plates,but still cooks things on the entire area - things get browner in the center area. Food is moist and tastes great. We are extremely happy with this grill.

LOVE this George Foreman!

I LOVE my George Foreman grill! I had one just like it, except in silver, and used it 3-4 times a week for 5 years! It just finally wore out. I found this one online to replace it. It was an exceptional price. I have used it once, but because I have had the other one just like it for so long, I feel that I can confidently write a good review. I had another George Foreman grill years ago, but I never used it because the grill was SO difficult to clean after using it. When they came out with the models that have removable grills, I thought I'd give one another try. I LOVE it! It is so easy to use and clean!!! It's very convenient to cook with and everything is done so quickly because it is cooking the meat from both the top and bottom. As soon as my other one wore out, I looked for it's relacement online and found this one. I knew that I DID NOT want to be without one!

GREAT grill at a GREAT price!

We have used a larger none removable plate George Foreman Grill for several years, but always hated the clean up, limiting our use. We have decided to switch to a Paleo diet and cook much of our meat on this new grill. The removable plates make it extremely easy to clean up afterwards by wiping off and throwing them in the dishwasher. New grill heats up quickly, cooks evenly and thoroughly. We are very pleased with the new grill and use it 4-5 nights a week.

Everything we were hoping for!

THE best way to quickly grill meat, fish, etc. From FROZEN: Salmon- 10 minutes, talipia- 5 minutes, hamburger patty 1/3 pound- 5 minutes, slab of tri-tip steak- 10 minutes, with no fussing about flipping it or watching to make sure it doesn't get over done. Really the best thing ever. No need to add butter or anything unhealthy to it, it tastes great with a little salt and pepper or Johnny's seasoning! I use mine every day and have a second one for camping because it cooks so FAST from FROZEN. The easiest way to do clean up is to wet a paper towel with cold water. Lift the lid and wipe the upper grill while it is still hot. The water on the paper towel essentially steams off whatever was stuck to the grill. Do the same with the bottom grill and you will find it also comes off easily. Wipe with a dry paper towel if wanted but usually isn't necessary. Use a small plate to catch drippings, I usually wipe it off with a paper towel and use it again. Otherwise put it in the dishwasher. The only thing I don't like on this model is the timer. I'm not sure it's even needed. Temperature maximum is 425 degrees. I do like that it has a shut off button so you don't have to unplug it to turn it off. The Foreman grill is fantastic.

Love the Foreman grill

It is awesome, but if this is for 6 servings they must be for mice!! It cooks super-fast, it cleans incredibly easy, but it is a little small. I can fit 3 chicken breasts easily, 4 if I really pay attention. I love it & would absolutely buy it again!

I love this grill! I have used other brands in the past but this one tops them all. I love that the grill plates are light weight and easy to remove. I also love the non-stick surface. Unfortunately this grill only holds 3 average size frozen turkey burger patties at a time. I'm sure you could get six smaller sized patties on it as shown if you make them yourself.
