My all purpose shirt has been retired...:(

I've been buying a version of this shirt for 3 years and something has changed. The photos on line look great and some shirts look good in the store. Sadly most of the shirts (at the store) look very sloppy, badly constructed and the material seems rough. That's what I can't figure out? Some of them are still quite nice and I want to buy but it doesn't fit or the material (hem around the back) is already curling up. Its hit n' miss or camp out in the fitting room. I have 5 white George shirts(yes I'm boring) I can't speak for what working women want--I babysit one soon to be two grandsons.Yet I'm positive that some women feel like I do--these are not the comfortable ease with which to wear shirts of a couple years ago.I initially bought these as a compliment to the more expensive *** ********* shirts.I practically wore them out thru summers and into false fall. They only BEGAN to show signs of curling and collar woes. The sizing (of the new shirts) is way off.The colors may INDICATE an oxford type shirt but it is not. Thank you!

Ordinarily, I wear anything from a size medium to an extra large, depending on the cut, stretch and fit of the garment. I purchased this shirt for emergency use in extra large and was seriously disappointed when I went to put it on! It fits more like a small/medium. I buttoned it up and felt like I was going to Hulk out of this thing if I sneezed! Definitely disappointed in the fit. The arms were so tight, I was afraid to even lift them, so the fitting issue wasn't even just in my chest. The only reason I'm even giving this 2 stars is because the fabric has a nice feel and it's got a flattering cut if you can find it in a size that actually fits.

Love the material. Washes up nicely with maybe just a touch of of light ironing. However you do want to go a size larger as the blouses tend to run small. I will purchase more of these in different colors.

I've been searching all over for a good work shirt. One that looks adult and professional, one that was comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and that material wasn't too thin. I struggle to find shirts that fit those descriptions, since I find a lot of women's collared shirts to be overly ornamental and made more for casual occasions than the office. Basically, I wanted a feminine version of a man's button down shirt. This fit the bill! It's softer than I expected, and I like the fit. It's plain enough that it can easily be coordinated with jackets, blazers, sweaters, etc. I plan on coming back for more as soon as I have the extra money! I would recommend, if at all possible, to try this shirt on in your local store! A lot of the reviews said this shirt runs small, so I expected my usual size medium would be too tight. On a whim, I tried on a small, and it fit perfectly. The medium would have been far too big.

Bought 3 last year, had to go 2 sizes up. I really didn't wear them at all, just bought them online as I thought they are TRUE Oxfords but they are not. Don't like the fit or the fact that it can't be buttoned all the way to the top and the collar is not buttoned down so I donated them to Goodwill. This year I tried one on at the store and the fit is even worse. Sizing is way off. Don't waste your money. Overall the quality and sizing of Walmart merchandise is getting increasingly worse.

  • A. Sleeves are 25" approx. what is nice is they can be rolled up once if desired for another look, as they are white on the inside. At least the two I have, I wear them both ways.

  • A. It is very long on my size, XL. If you look at the photo, the sleeve is past the bottom of the hem, and looks bunched up. It fits me like that. When I roll up the sleeve, i roll it up twice and the length is still midway between wrist and elbow.
