title is misleading I relied on the title to determine the finish on this chandelier. To me silver means sterling. In a cool color family. Even the word pewter would be listed in the cool color family. If you are looking for a brushed nickel or a warm metal finish then this light will work for you. I did keep the fixture as my daughter liked it. I painted the metal finish silver. I have not installed it yet so, I cannot say how it lights up. This is possible to install it permanently as it does come with a kit to do so. I also worked on the crystal links as many of the rings were bent. One of the leaves fell off as well but I glued it back on. I hope it holds. 10/31/2011
Teen room makeover I was looking for lighting for my almost 13 yr old daughter.It looks really good.My electrician put it in so I can't comment on ease of connecting.I did replace the mercury bulbs with incandescent as the bulbs it came with make the room dark looking.It comes with a plug in connector so you could connect it in a difficult spot.Such as an old house with not enough sockets.That's why there was an electrician here! 10/04/2011
