Great ac for a small room. It's quiet and effective. Comes with a remote control. The built in thermostat and digital display makes this exceptionally useful. This ac is installed in a 10' x 20' room.

this unit replaces a thru the wall unit that is quite old.. was looking for a unit much more efficient than old one, this is quieter, and with thermostat control, will shut off when temp is at set number. have used it only 3 times so far, but seems great This is a window unit, but it easily fit the old thru the wall space.. this was only unit small enough to fit space allowable. This unit is used in a bedroom only. This unit will be used every day thru September.

We presently have 2 of these units in operation and they perform better than expected When the desired temperature is reached the compressor turns off . . . and a little later the fan turns off. One of these air conditioner does not turn on until the sun shines on that side of the building and turns off at night. All the functions can be controlled from a remote control and the digital read out is ideal for setting the temperature remotely. Units are really quiet

bedroom. The windows are old but sealed and I have window shades and room darkening drapes covering the windows. would this be sufficient to cool the rest? The trailer was weatherized this past winter?

    • Thsi A/C will cool a 100 square foot room, that's 10 feet by 10 feet. Thsi A/C will cool a 150 square foot room, that's 10 feet by 15 feet. Your trailer is 826 squart feet and probably not well insulated by the manufacturer. It may help a little but not much...

    • No. This unit is rated for up to 150 square feet. Your trailer is 826 square feet. so you would need at least a 15,000 btu unit.

    • You have a total of 826 square feet. This is good for up to 150 square feet, and I think it would have trouble keeping up with even 150 square feet. You need a much, much larger unit. Or, alternatively, get 2 or 3 smaller units if you can accomodate them. That way you only cool the room you're in, have much better control of cooling, and save energy as well.

    • These are great for one bedroom. I use a lot of them in rentals. 5000 btu is not for more than 150 sq ft or so.

    • First of all I am not familiar with this exact unit but I have lived in homes that have used window AC units all my life. I can tell you how to figure out the square footage of your room or rooms. If your whole trailer is 14ft x 59ft then that square footage is 1,126 square feet (14 times 59). I think I understand that you want a unit to cool the rest of your place because you already have a unit in your bedroom. Find how long your bedroom is and times that by how wide your bedroom is. That is the square footage of your bedroom. Then minus that from the 1,126 above. That is the square footage of the rest of your place. This AC unit says it can cool up to 150 square feet. In my experience that is one of the smallest units and would only cool one small room like a bedroom. But you also must consider how wide your windows are. If a bigger unit won't fit than you have no choice but to use a smaller unit. You can boost a smaller units ability to cool by using fans. Still that only goes so far. The shades, drapes and weatherizing will help alot. Hope this info helps too.
