I have a 1 1/2 story home w/separate central units.Recently contracted a 14' x 24' Florida room in back using a tie in from the orig.upstairs ductwork. Installed the GE - 10,000 BTU in same addition to help take some load off. You can feel the fan moving the air from across the room. What a differance , especially considering this extremely hot season. 08/06/2012

Have a Sylvania same BTU'sand the fan strength on this unit is much better.starts quickly and blows cold air quickly.econ mode shuts down unit and wakes upperiodically to check air temp.. works great!Quiet, powerful and not that big.I have central A/C but the ducts run thrumy attic which is 170 degrees in full sunand wastes all that cold air.I am sold on this window A/C unit.. no wasteand puts the cold right where u want it. 08/06/2012
