excellent backup I own a home in Alaska. Power outages are frequent outside the city, and it's dark a lot in the winter. I needed something to power some lights and a portable heater to keep a room warm during extended outages. Excellent bang for my buck.The on/off switch broke the 2nd time I used this unit, but I just went to the hardware store and picked up a toggle switch and wired it in myself. No biggie. 11/09/2011
Great value I am a female, own a home and needed a generator I could handle in an emergency. I am able to move this generator, fill it and start it with no problems. It is reasonably quiet. It runs for a significant length of time without needing a refill (+/- 6 hours). During a weeklong power outage during a tropical storm, it kept my refrigerator on, my sump pump going, some lights on and I was able to charge my cell phone. It did everything I needed. 10/10/2011
