Well this game now costs $39.96 when it was $59.96 and I got the Limited Edition version for $69.96 and in my opinion it was worth every cent. I'm not a big Halo fan I find the game rather dull and the story line is boring. The story line in Gears of War keeps your attention and has you begging for more. It is definately worth the money.

Gears of war 2 is not better than halo. but Gears of war 2 does have a better storyline but Halo's multiplayer is way better than Gears of War 2's

We are also big Halo fans & I think Gears are better than Halo. The controls are different than Halo which takes some getting used to, but now we are having to get used to the Halo controls after playing this! Try it...you absolutely won't be dissapointed!

yes all games works with the elite. their are three different xbox 360 consoles the xbox 360 arcade, xbox 360 pro, and xbox 360 elite the only difference between the elite and the pro is that the elite will not get the red rings of death no matter how long you play it... and the arcade comes without a hard drive, enthernet cable, and a head set its best if you wanna play solo and its the cheapest price and the pro comes with every thing the elite does but the pro can tear up if it gets to hot so i suggest getting the elite for the quality it costs a little more but its worth it for the quality..

I highly recommend this game to anyone buying an Xbox 360. I've been playing 360 since it came out, and still haven't played a game I like better than this one. I bought this game for 60 dollars, and paid almost 40 dollars for all of the downloadable content that is included on this disc. In store it is 40, but the 30 online price is a must buy. If you like any shooter game, pick this up immediately and find out what all the other games you've played were missing. With the extensive campaign, horde mode (with new achievements for each map pack), and multiplayer mode, there's something for everyone, and countless hours of locust blasting fun for completionists such as myself.

They don't make games like this every year. Coop and single players alike will enjoy this game even those not wanting to jump tight online in vs will like playing against bots to learn maps and gun placements. Can't go wrong with this game.

great game

i bought this expecting to get $20 worth of gameplay. although i've play GOW2 before and enjoyed it, i never got the chance to own and play it to it's full potential. i'm a huge fan of the GoW series, and was planning on purchasing the map packs for this after buying it, however i discovered (much to my relief and surprise) that the GOTY edition comes with the All Fronts and Flashback map packs for FREE. seriously, a great game with 24 extra maps and an additional single player campaign chapter for only $20 is an incredible deal. if you like gears of war, do yourself a favor and pick this up. i mean, for $20 how could you go wrong?

Absolutely Perfect.

Epic took everything that was good about GOW, amplified it, and added awesome new stuff (like horde mode). The story campaign is amazing in that you flow seamlessly from chapter to chapter, making it feel like one long adventure instead of pieces of it here and there; combine this with graphics that are next to none, and GOW2 is truly an interactive action-adventure cinematic experience.

In the time it took you to read this, you should have ordered it. Twice.

This game is awesome. Great stiry line and awesome co-op. My favorite part of the game is multiplayer its awesome!!!

Gears of war 2

The campaign itself is great, challenging and lengthy. The multiplayer is great too but the only thing that needs work with this game is the multiplayer lag. Each time you start a game you pretty much have to really hope that it is not going to be lagged otherwise it won't be as much fun.
If they fixed that I would definitively give it 5 stars but still a great game to play with friends.
