a question about the 1t review This is a good product, but lacks a volume control. Since my metal detector does not have a volume control, my headset must have one. The standard volume when connected to my metal detector is not only loud enough to overcome ANY other sounds, it is usually too loud.what kind of machine do you have i dont think ive seen a machine withot volume control usually its combined wth the on/off button or its seperate what is it because alot of high end headphones rely on the machine they all dont have volume controls and if there to sensitive you might try turning down your sensitivity its usuallly the beginner that doesnt know how the sensitivity control works and its usually an operator error a good ex is thenewe koss-ur30's they range in price ive seen 55 -80 dollars and they are slicks they dont have volume control or mono/stero switch and there awsome phones these phones look just fine to me 01/14/2009
