The Garmin NUVI50LM GPS With Lifetime Map includes the Nuvi 50 LM 5" GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map Updates and a Portable Friction Dash Mount. The lifetime map updates allow you to stay up-to-date on changing roads and point of interests (POIs). This GPS features a big 5" touchscreen, more than 5 million points of interest (POIs) and spoken turn-by-turn navigation that speaks street names. The 5" GPS is preloaded with City Navigator NT you get advanced mapping and navigation technology that offers fast route calculations and address look-ups. Lane assist with junction view allows you to navigate with confidence while nuvi directs you to the preferred lane along with viewing images of upcoming junctions. The included Portable Dash Mount features a non-skid bottom and pliable base to keep the mount secure on your dashboard. The integrated arm on the Garmin NUVI50LM GPS With Lifetime Map can be folded down for easy storage in an automobile console or in luggage.

This was to be my first GPS and I wanted outstanding performance in a 5 inch screen, but didn't want or need anything fancy, but did want lifetime maps. The Garmin nuvi 50LM was the perfect choice and I have not been disappointed. It is easy to use, fast and accurate. The screen is bright with excellent contrast. It is 'turn by turn" and specifically mentions the names of the streets. The default voice is strong and easy to hear and understand. Overall, the Garmin nuvi 50LM is simple, basic and outstanding. In my opinion, the Garmin 50LM is the best Christmas gift ever. I am very pleased with the Garmin nuvi 50LM and my mom choice in buying it. You can be too!! 12/28/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by staugie Great GPS Great for beginners. I have never used one of these and it is so so simple. Now I can travel anywhere and not be afraid of getting lost. I really like how it tells you in advance right or left turn and highlights the up coming turn. It also shows you what your next Road or Exit is going to be. And where ever I'm at I just push the home icon and it brings me right home. Love the big screen and it's still easy to see in the bright Florida sunshine. It tells me what the speed limit is and what speed I'm driving. Thank you Garmin! 12/27/2012
