powers down when too hot I have used the Garmin 2495LMT for one trip across the country and will be returning it. On cloudy days it worked fine and it works fine as long as the sun doesn't hit it. After 2 hours in the sun on a 60 degree day, it powers down with no warning (this happened multiple times#. I gave it a good value rating for the features - they are outstanding and I would not be returning it if it would work. Just one other thing to watch out for: 3 times it put me on the wrong side of the street for an address #once for a hotel and twice for two different Sams clubs#.Other cons:The manuel isn't very good, so prepare for some hands on learning.The optional SD card slot doesn't support waypoints or routes #at least I couldn't get it to work). It works for viewing pictures.It is not compatable with windows XP. 11/23/2011
Extensive features I'm still learning about all the capabilities for this unit - I like the alternate routes feature, but you need to be careful not to get diverted off onto busy, center of town roads (that appear to not have the traffic input that the major roads do) where there are more delays due to traffic lights, school buses, etc.Also, the traffic monitering is somewhat spotty in my area (suburban boston) - so you will not always be alerted to delays. 11/08/2011
Good product I replaced a Nuvi 350 which I had for 4 1/2 years. I can't believe the advances that have been made in that time. Much faster, much more complete, much less annoying. I do wish it had a headphone jack though. By the way, I am a full time limousine driver. 04/02/2012
A bit thinner than my old 265WT, and seems to calculate routes a bit faster, too. Getting used to the new menu structure probably makes reading at least parts of the manual a necessity. Voice input looks like it will be a nice feature, but I haven't used it much yet. 01/04/2012
