excellent buy This is the third Garmin I have owned and this is a big improvement. The oversized screen helps alot, especially in the city when you have alot of info on the screen. I also love the intersection views. In the past I have always had trouble understanding where to turn when there are multiple roads going off one intersection. This eliminates that. Also the free map updates is a big thing for me. The other Garmins I have owed got outdated and it made more sense to buy a new one than to spend money updating an old GPS. With free updates maybe this will be the last one I buy. I don't see much advantage to the traffic updates. It tells you there is heavy traffic ahead just about the time you are hitting your breaks because of the heavy traffic 05/13/2011
Garmin nuvi 1450 LMT 5" I had another Garmin GPS for several years and loved it. Even though I have not been on the road with this one, I love the user-friendly part of this one. It is quite easy to use and to read! 05/12/2011

We have navigation systems installed in our cars. We bought this Garmin GPS to take with us on a vacation to upstate New York. The rental car company wanted $90 to rent a GPS for one week so we decided to go ahead and buy a portable unit we could use on future vacations. I was very happy with the unit. It performs better than the one in my 2011 BMW. The 5" screen was easy to read. I liked being able to input destination addresses in the Favorites section before we left home so everything was ready to use during our trip. The unit did a good job of quickly recalculating if we wanted to adjust our route. It gave the name of the street when you were to make a turn. The base sat solidly on the dashboard and we didn't need to keep fussing with attaching the unit to the windshield with suction cups. When we parked, we unplugged the unit and put everything in the trunk. When we got back, we placed everything back on the dashboard, plugged it in, and were ready to go. I would definitely get the kit. 09/04/2011
