I particularly appreciate the option of viewing time or miles to destination, time of arrival, current local time, local speed limit side by side with actual vehicle speed, and elevation.This is my first experience with a refurbished unit but it seems to be like new when received. Time and usage will determine if it was the excellent value I perceive it to be. 11/17/2012

This does everything I wanted plus it tells me how much my trip costs even if it's just to the store and back. That's an eye opener. It updated the maps easily from the internet. And it's nice to know I'll always be able to get updates without extra cost. 11/16/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by henry333 Affordable and functional GPS To make things easier, you should get a 4GB+ Micro SDHC card and charge the GPS before updating the map.Received the GPS tonight and follow the instruction to update the GPS and map. It took slightly over an hour to do all the updates by following the simple instruction. I was pleasantly surprized that the update procedure does not ask me to enter the serial number or require me to set up an account.Another pleasant surprise is that the refurbished unit comes with 1-year limited warranty rather than the more common 90 days one.The GPS is easy to setup and is quite functional. My refurbished unit looks new and the GPS locks in signal quickly.It would be nice if the charger and cable are separated so you can plug the cable to a USB charger so you can share the power source with phone. 11/16/2012
