Yes, they are plastic, no metal. You should understand, these are more for pushing between teeth like flossing rather than using them as a pick. Once you learn how to use them, they are fine.

I use these with my regular floss.   I'm 80 years old and some areas between my teeth are larger and food lodges in those areas.  Floss alone doesn't work very well to dislodge these particles of food.    Tooth picks don't work either.  These soft picks work just great so that before I brush my teeth I've already cleaned out the spaces between my teeth.  I love these.

The product is excellent, but I don't know why my new dental provider suggested it.  It does not serve the full purpose.

It was suggested for cleaning a lingual wire.  But it is too bulky to access the top of the wire.

Work Well

These GUM soft-picks are the best thing to make sure you are stimulating your gums. I use them daily and have received improved reports from the dentist on my gum health. They don't replace a good flossing, in my opinion, but work in conjunction to ensure the best you can do.

I bought Gum soft picks a month ago.  It works well between my teeth.  I have sensitive gum.  It is soft and didn't hurt me when it goes thru between teeth and gum area.

I bought these Soft-Picks after using the sample pick packet my orthodontis gave me after my last visit.  These picks are good for massaging the gum while removing objects from between the teeth; much better than using wood tooth picks.

Great Picks for Teeth & Gums

Much better than a regular toothpick.  It comes with a plastic holder that must be refilled.  This would rate a 5 star if it had more holders that would make it much easier to store.

This product has some great points over similar items, it is thin enough to get into the tight space and gentle enough not to harm delicate gum tissue, however, probably due to that fact, the spike bends too easily and the small rubber brushes break off too easily. That means using more of them and for the price, daily oral hygiene becomes quite expensive. If they were better priced for the amount you get in the pack, I would have given them a higher rating

Good toothbrush, but doesn't last long before I have to replace it. Bristles on toothbrush seem to wear down after I use it for awhile.
