    Short Life for the Price I converted my home to CFLs a few years ago but have experienced short life spans with some of these GE lights, a few will last several years, others only a few months and sometimes they fail with smoke and a bad odor. If they were as cheap as incadescent lightbulbs I wouldn't care but these cost way too much given the lack of reliabilty... 11/03/2009
    Great Product I am using these bulbs in lamps and ceiling fixures and find them to be GREAT. Once warmed up, they are as bright as wattage use indicated. I intend to replace all my bulbs with these GE Energy Smart bulbs. 12/03/2008
    EXCELLENT PRODUCT LITTLE HIGH IN PRICE BUT BEST LIGHT BULB I HAVE EVER HAD. HAVE HAD FOR 3.5YRS NOW AND HAVE NOT HAD ONE GO BAD YET!!!!! ALSO HAS HELPED TO LOWER ELECTRIC BILL BY ABOUT 2% MONTH 02/19/2010
    Short lifespan I purchased a two pack in March 2010. I placed both in the same fixture in my 5 year old home that gets less than 4 hours per day use. The first stopped working after only about five weeks. The second stopped working yesterday 7/30/2010. That is a long way from the advertised 5 years! 07/30/2010
