Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lenalee Great camera! I had a Canon camera that took very good pictures and it was only about a year old. Then the latch on the battery door broke and it became virtually impossible to take pictures. For a tiny piece of plastic, the camera became worthless. I found out it was actually common with Canon cameras, and also, after it's predecessor, a Fuji that just died on me after about a year, I decided to switch brands. This camera looked like a good deal & I thought I'd take a chance. It was the best decision I've made in cameras! The pictures are spectacular! I'm an amateur, and the very first pictures I took with this camera were great! I haven't tried the video yet but, if it's as good as the still pictures, I'll be thrilled! The video on the Fuji was definitely third rate. 12/29/2012

He opened it Christmas day and grinned from ear to ear saying, yeahhhhhhh no more pretend cameras I have a real one of my very own. He called to tell me he has already taken over 192 shots of all his new "stuff" he got. He was thrilled and this camera seems to be perfect for him. 01/01/2013
