Good for the winter months. These are a 50/50 cotton/poly blend. The weight of the material is about medium/heavy. The size runs true and the cut is unisex. I purchased eight pairs and all have proven to be durable wash after wash except for the drawstrings that seem to pull out if drawn to tight. The elastic at the ankles are comfortable (not too snug). These are very warm, allowing me to turn the thermostat down to 58 degrees all winter long. 02/19/2012
