Frigidaire's 12,000-BTU 230V window-mounted compact air conditioner with 11,000-BTU supplemental heat capability is perfect for rooms up to 640 square feet. In addition to cooling, this versatile unit also offers supplemental heat capability, providing you with an additional heat source to your main heat source when outdoor temperatures are above 45 degrees Fahrenheit. It quickly cools the room on hot days and quiet operation keeps you comfortable without keeping you awake. Features include electronic controls, temperature sensing remote control, 8-way air direction control and multiple speeds. Plus, the antibacterial mesh filter with clean filter alert reduces bacteria, room odors and airborne particles creating a comfortable environment. This unit requires a special 230V electrical outlet and will not operate with a standard 115V household electrical outlet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BobErnie does not meet expectations as a heater. The email description of this item as an air conditioner and a heater is misleading. The actual item reveals the heating capability is less than description led me to expect. I purchased the item to provide summer cooling and winter heating for a 12x12 foot sun room. While the winter climate has not yet arrived, the heating capability does not appear to be capable of warming the room in cold weather. 10/26/2012
