Close to perfect Overall, very happy with my purchase. The unit itself is quieter than I expected, but it is still somewhat noisy. If you are hoping for a quiet window or wall a/c unit, good luck. There's just a certain amount of noise associated with moving air around. I have slept with it on, and it's been great.Cools the rooms nicely and the unit itself looks great. My main quibble is with the temperature setting. The thermostat on the unit does not match the actual temperature of the room...for example, I'll set it for 68, and it is only 75 in the room when it shuts off. No big deal, it's at least consistent in doing this, but I don't get the discrepancy. However, I am thrilled to have an a/c that shuts off whenever it gets to a set temperature and doesn't just waste energy.Note that you WILL HAVE TO BUY a Frigidaire EA108T wall sleeve for installation unless you already have a universal wall sleeve for your old through-the-wall a/c unit.The energy star certification is a huge plus, and I took advantage of the free site-to-store shipping. Very much worth it!This review only concerns the unit itself. I paid someone else to install it and saved myself the headache; they didn't have any issues, so it must have been a fairly standard installation. 06/05/2011
Quiet, powerful AC unit This Whirlpool 10,000 BTU Thru the Wall unit is very quiet and produces nice cold air. It is a through the wall unit, so perfect for an apartment or Condo where window AC units are not allowed. And it is 110 volt, so no special wiring is required. Good value, good product. 06/13/2011
Good air conditioner for a smaller room. Air conditioner works great, my house is finally cold! It is hard for the remote sensing to work unless it is in a perfectly direct line to the air conditioner. 08/10/2011
