Franklin Electronic Publishers Children's Dictionary, HW1216 4.3 5 15 20
My daughter loves it! I purchased this product for my 8-year-old daughter, and she loves it. One of her homework assignments is to write sentences with her spelling words every week, and the electronic dictionary comes in very handy for this. She also enjoys playing with it outside of homework time and even asks to bring it along when we go places. I like that the definitions are easy for her to understand, and it even includes games for her to play that helps her learn and think. I have already recommended this product to many parents. 02/03/2010
Great Product!! I was a bit skeptical about purchasing an electronic dictionary for my 9 year old son but the Franklin electronic dictionary surpassed my expectations. It is everything and more! It's kid-friendly, kid-proofed and fun to use. He carries it with him all the time! Whenever he doesn't know what a word means, he looks it up. He also plays hangman, guess the word and tic-tac-toe. There are other games too. I believe it comes with a total of 6 games, there's a spell correction, it greets him when he turns it on and much more. Definitely worth the price and a fun way for kids to learn! 09/16/2009
So Glad I Bought This!! My daughter was having problems spelling so I bought this for her. I love the fact that you enter in how you THINK a word is spelled and it gives you the correct spelling. When she uses it, if she is not sure which word is the correct one, all she has to do is hit enter and it gives her the definition of the word. Before I bought this she was asking me 20 times a day how to spell something. Now she just grabs her Franklin dictionary. It also has games which makes her want to use it even more. Well worth the money! 01/26/2009
Great! My five year old can easily maneuver through it. Very basic definition of words. Does tell if noun, verb, etc. Spell check is pretty nice. I try to have my daughter spell the word, if it is wrong it will give her word options then I can assist her. She scrolls through the words to the word she wants and hits enter and it gives the definition. Games are a nice addition. We use it for in the car for when she asks me questions about words, we use a regular dictionary at home. 09/05/2008
