The Fossil Fighters DS Game can indulge your fascination for dinosaurs and fossils. Tactics, discovery skills, and strategy are all that you need to win this Fossil Fighters video game. Players, as fossil fighters, have to dig and find out fossils, clean them, and revive dinosaurs (vivosaurs) and pit them against other fighters. Cleaning process in this Nintendo DS video game is total fun. Players will have to use the touch-screen to pick a hammer to chip away major chunk of rocks carefully and then use an accurate, less powerful drill to find out the encased jewel or fossil in it. And, remember, you'll have to finish the task in a specific period of time. The dinosaurs DS game features vast environments and an observing role-playing storyline so that players are always on their feet.
Fossil Fighters DS Game:Players dig for fossils and use the touch screen of the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi system to hammer, chip, drill and brush away the bits of rock around the fossil. When their efforts result in the buildup of dust, players blow into the Nintendo DS microphone to blow the dust away. The game rates players on how well they handle the fossils during the cleaning process. The more carefully and completely a player cleans a fossil, the more powerful the vivosaur will be in battle. Vivosaurs can also gain more power through battles. Players must collect various parts of each vivosaur. The head must be found first to bring a vivosaur to life while the body, arms and legs can be added to increase its power on the battlefield and imbue it with special powers. The game features an engrossing role-playing storyline and vast environments for players to explore. Players can connect wirelessly with friends to battle or trade their fossils.

Great Game! This was the free game with the package that I bought. There were like 30 - 40 other games, but they were either lame or for girls. Harry potter was too old for him and he wasn't into the Tasmanian Devil, but he loves battling anything and loves dinosaurs. Please understand as I write this review that my son is easily frustrated with things he can't sit down and do on the first try--with that said, I would also like to add that I have not had time to sit down and play the game so it is hard to gauge his reactions for how valid they are compared to he is just frustrated it is not going his way. However, he does struggle with this game a bit more than he does his other game, and as a result is less willing to play with it. I hope that this changes as his skill level increases as well as after I have a chance to play the game and figure it out and show him what he needs to do on it. 12/30/2010
Great Value! My son LOVES this game!! When it arrived he opened the package and hasn't put it down yet. He asks for a lot of DS games, like Pokemon, but he doesn't play them for too long before he's on to another one. I expected the same for this game but it hasn't worked out that way. It's about $5 cheaper here than at other stores. I was pretty frustrated that our stores didn't carry the game and I had to order it online because I didn't want to wait the 2 weeks for it to get to the store. I didn't mind so much once I saw it was only $0.97 cents to ship and it got here quicker than expected. This game is definitely worth the price. 06/07/2010
Fun Experience Product I brought the fossil fighter for my 9yr. old. He loves the game. He mentioned it gets harder as you get to the higher chapters. My son say the game is "hot". 12/26/2009
