Even better than I had hoped. Went together easily and spins very well. The only metal is the screws and stand, so the barrel won't rust through.

We were able to fit a lot of gardening waste in this big dual composter. We were pleasantlyable surprised. Spinning is easy. A lot of pieces to put together, but with two of us we got it done in 15-20 minutes. Not hard just tedious. Very pleased with the results.

I have used a different tumbling composter before I bought this one. It went together easily, took me about an hour I think. Its in use now in North Carolina where it has been very hot recently and the half of the composter that is in use if half full. I tumble it each time I add kitchen vegetable peelings to it and have added some previously mulched grass from my mower. The compost has begun to rot down but somehow, some flying insects have got into it and the whole compost is wriggling with insct larvae of different kinds. That said, I am sure they will break it all down but the resulting compost may not be very good and may not smell very good. This problem is nothing to do with the compost bin, more likely the way I have loaded it.

    • A. There is a sliding panel that goes in front of the entry holes, to keep the compost in while cooking. When the compost is finished you just slide the panel out and rotate the composter so the opening is on the bottom. The compost should fall right out.

    • A. I just have it a week, and haven't got any compost coming out yet. But looking at its structure, I believe that removing finished compost will be easy through the door.

    • A. The door slides in both directions, so back out the entrance. Put a tarp under and let it fall out.

    • A. I just got mine, so I haven't had to remove the compost yet. But the directions that come with it say to dump it out of the entry spot.

    • A. One of the 8 side panels is a sliding door. Place container or tarp under composter, slide open door, and rotate barrel until opening is on the bottom for compost to fall out.

    • A. Back out entry. When one side is cured and other side is curing you take compost out the cured side via LARGE opening. Super easy

    • A. You do have to assemble this composter but, it is not difficult. I would say it takes about 30 minutes to assemble.

    • A. About thirty minutes. You need a flat and Philips, and a tiny player to hold in place. Super easy! Just be sure to use the input panel LAST.

    • A. Yes, it comes in pieces and the box it arrives in looks small, but once built it holds a lot. More than a tall kitchen trash can, each side. Took two of us 15 to 20 min to put together. Not hard just tedious.

    • A. It took me about an hour to put together. I just stood at my workbench and it seemed to go together alright. I just had to make certain I had the end plates in the right orientation.

    • A. Yes, it does have to be put together. It took me about 2 hours but I like the process, so I always take longer than necessary. It was not difficult to put together though, and I was able to do it totally myself.
