It does NOT play game sound. The answer by eForCity is NOT correct. When I contacted eForCity for instructions on how to get game sound through the headset they apologized and sent me a return label. If they could actually play game sounds they would have sent me instructions instead of a label.

I  were using the headset that came with the console, that one ear monster hurt my ear plus it would constantly cut in and out during my conversations in the midst of my gta5 heist. This headset is comfortable, I can chat for hrs and now my gta5 missions are better with friends.

Great gamers tool

Quick delivery, usps (earlier than they said it would be). The headset is for a younger child (10) they are adjustable and fit child's head and ears nicely which is hard to find for some reason. The volume and reception is good. Mic is not in front of the mouth, not in the way nice and adjustable. They seem to be good quality - definitely better than expected for the price. We'll see how long they hold up but would expect based on the first impression that they will last.

Bought for a child rough with his stuff. So far it is holding up. I feel I have gotten my mineys worth.

what is expected

$6.99 + 3 shipping, which arrived in less than a week (to Texas), is a great deal for a dual headphones w/mic. The product isn't made of the highest most durable material/build so if you have kids who break things easy I would not recommend. However for a teen/adult like myself you can't go wrong with this $10 (inc. shipping) headset. I've asked fellow gamers how I sound and all have said I come thru clean and clear, The headphones aren't studio quality so with that in mind I would still give them 8 out of 10 stars. The Only reason I rated this item as "average" is b/c (and partly My fault for not reviewing this along with other headset/mics) you can only use them for chat, they are not designed nor have the ability to have the game broadcast through them like the more expensive brands (ie. the one with Turtles on a Beach) and being a big first-person gamer I was pretty disappointed the item description was not specific in that aspect. AND it only fits on XBox controllers that have the little slots on each side of the audio jack port, so no aftermarket controllers w/out the side slots (Not sure what I mean? Take a look at an official XBox controller) But you live and you learn. But all in all I would still definitely recommend this INSTEN Headset b/c the headphones and mic work great for chat and you Simply Cannot beat the price. Hope my review has not been a waste of your time, thnx for reading ***I've only had it for about 2wks and no issues yet. I'll keep u guys updated should any arise!

it got to my house pretty fast but that is the only positive. it does not produce game sound it only produces mic sound.
