I have been a huge fan of matte lipsticks forever, yet they are so difficult to find! As a professional 43-year old woman, most of the time sparkly lipsticks are not for me. I also like long-wearing lipsticks, but those are hard to find, too. Often times creamy lipsticks leave that ring of lipstick combined saliva in the center of your bottom lip that you have to scrape off, and reapply the lipstick, often many times a day.

So, those are all of the things I despise in a lipstick, which makes this one easy to love! I do love the color, a kind of muted hot pink and it even feels like velvet as you apply it. It is not dry, nor is it creamy. It is a beautiful matte color, which creates full lips, and with the pencil, it's thin enough to outline the lips to prepare for the application of color, but thick enough to apply the color. The color is long-lasting, lasting about 6 - 7 hours, and only then I reapplied color in the corners of my mouth. In the end, I found that the color lasted all day!

I love being able to easily make an outline of my lips so that I can create sexy, pouty lips! The other positive is that this lipstick doesn't stain the lips, nor does it get all over your teeth.

I will buy this lipstick over and over again!

Long-lasting velvet lipstick!

This is a chubby lip pencil which twists up at end & need not sharpen. This contain 0.09oz/2.7g product. The color seen outside the chubby crayon stick is exact color offered in the lip color. The color I have is “Re-dy to Bloom” & this is a true bright matte red color. I love red lip colors. It glides on smooth & doesn’t not go out of my lip line & I love love this product & color. Being a pencil form it is very easy to make precise line for the red lip but as you keep using it would loose its sharp point tip but still good to work with. The color stays longer on lips & doesn’t stain lips which I like but when you eat & drink definitely it wears off & have to reapply. The product claims to be fragrance free, talc free, hydrating, Paraben free & no D5. I researched to learn D5 is toxic ingredient used in cosmetics so not having it in this product sounds good. I don’t smell any scent to this product & it doesn’t seem very hydrating but doesn’t dry my lips either. I have dry lips so I use a lip balm underneath any matte lip color. The product is made in USA & the flower line of cosmetics are not tested on animals for anyone who is interested. I like everything about this chubby lip pencil & shall try other colors they offer. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. This color is a wonderful red for holidays or special occasion or anyone who loves red lips.

Lovely matte red color

I'm a newby to color. I've been a huge fan of a shiny nude lip for years! I've only ventured into pink or lightly tinted lip stick or lip glosses. So this is a huge change for me but I'm liking it. The applicator is very cool! I'm loving the lip color crayon type thing. The color slides on easily and feels lighter than I imagined it would. I had completely had myself convinced that this would be chalky or thick feeling but I was wrong on both. It feels very nice and maybe even a bit nourishing? Kind of like a Chapstick. It's a matte color something else I'm new to but learning to like. All in all, it's a good product. It stays on for a while (I've only touched up twice in 8 hours). The pigment is good too. Flower states “Women deserve something beautiful” and I totally agree. Not only do we deserve something beautiful, we need to feel that way. Therefore, I started using Flower's Lip Suede that comes in a Velvet Lip Chubby. I used the Red-dy to Bloom color and I did not know I was wearing it because it is weightless with a silky, satin-matte finish. My lips were instantly smoothed with the hydrating combination of Papaya and Orchid infusion.

There are a total of five intense colors with a velvet finish in a self-sharpening Chubby! As I stated above, I have been wearing the Red-dy to Bloom which is a nice, cheerful red which I definitely love. Now I have to paint my nails that color and I am all set for some fun. The other colors include Life's a Peach, Mauve Over, Berry-More and Coral Floral.

I really do like this great Velvet Lip Chubby and I will definitely tell my friends all about it. I hope you will try the Chubby with the many interesting colors and enjoy it as much as I do.

I am so Red-dy to Bloom

This is the first time I used a Flower product and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this. Flower Lip Suede Velvet Lip Chubby in Red-dy to Bloom is a blue toned bright red. It is a red shade closer to hot pink. My skin tone is medium with yellow undertones and surprisingly this blue toned red went well with my skin tone. "Suede" is the perfect word to describe the texture of this lip product. It is a matte lipstick that is still very creamy. This does not dry out your skin. However, I would recommend applying a lip balm underneath this product if you have extremely dry and chapped lips. This chubby lip crayon leaves a stain that is long lasting, even after snacking. The packaging is stylish and the cap is well secured. The chubby crayon can be easily thrown in your purse. My personal tip for users is to keep the crayon angled when applying. This will keep the tip sharpened till you use up all product without making the tip blunt. The cone shaped tip will help to apply the product on the widest as well as the smallest parts of the lips while the crayon is angled. I highly recommend this lip product to all the busy beauty addicts.

Long lasting creamy matte lip color in a chubby!

Overall I love this lipstick--it's moisturizing and feels silky and smooth on my lips. Its finish is a perfect matte without looking dry or flat. Unfortunately, the color is so subtle that it does nothing to flatter my face. I would love to see it in a true, classic red.

Great lipstick, wrong color

I gave this lip color to my granddaughter as I don't wear anything this red at my age. I did, however, put just a bit on so I could try it out and thought it went on extremely well. Very, very smooth and added lots of color without it appearing that I was wearing a lot of lipstick. Although I just used a very little bit, it seemed to stay on a very long time! I'll have to try some in a lighter color for me. When I gave it to my granddaughter, she immediately put some on and she loved it! Said she loved and color, how smoothly it went on, how it looked and how it felt on her lips. She said she and her mom had just been looking at this brand a few days ago at Walmart, but she didn't buy it as it was a little pricey for her. She said now that she's tried it, however, she thinks it's well worth the cost. Glad grandma could help her out a little! We both liked the Flower Lip Suede a lot! I think we'll be buying more in the future. Thank you!

VERY SMOOTH AND LOVELY LOOKING!

I really loved this Lip Suede Velvet stick. It glided on easily, great to contour the lips, the color was bright red to the orange side of the color wheel and the texture velvety just as described. It goes on with a matte finish and has a twister on the bottom of the stick to raise additional product as you use it. Clean, easy and just the right size to use. Better than a traditional lip stick. Also really liked the see through top so you can monitor the level. After reading the label on the back of the package I noticed that this company does not test on animals and uses natural ingredients which is very important to me. I would highly recommend it.

Love this!

I love the color and I especially love how this feels on my lips. It doesn't feel like you are wearing anything and it keeps them moisturized but it does wear off a little when you eat which is the only reason why I left off a star.

The Velvet Lip Chubby is first of all, a true red. It is extremely saturated in color and you do not need a lot of it at all to achieve a solid red lip. It glides on the lips easily, evenly and without much pressure. It’s very light feeling when you rub your lips together to blend. I would consider it more of a smooth lip crayon in shape and a true lipstick in application. Wonderfully enough, it has no scent at all, which is excellent, since most lip color has some sort of chemical smell to it. It also has no taste, so no worries about accidentally getting some on your tongue and having a nasty surprise. It removes easily...and perhaps a bit too easily, as something as simple as eating will remove quite a bit of it. It wipes away easily, so you would definitely need to keep it on hand during the day (or night) for reapplication. If you plan on smooching someone special, this will come off on them, so proceed with caution! There is plenty of product in the tube, so you will definitely get your money’s worth. I, however, do not feel this would be best of those of a darker skin tone, and think those with a fair, light or medium-light skin tone would find it goes best on them. I must reiterate, this is a true red, and a very bold red, be sure that is what you seek...this is not one you can get away with applying lightly to achieve “pink”. It is RED.
