I would definitely recommend going to the store, if you have one that carries them, to look at the color variety. The only negative about this foundation is that it doesn't have a very good tonal range; they mostly seem to be yellow based. If you are fair skinned with red hair, I would assume that your skin base is more pink (but I could be wrong), and it might be hard to match this foundation to your skin without seeing them in person.

I am 66 years old and have fair skin and blue eyes,with white --formerly blonde-- hair.. I bought the foundation color number1 and it is light enough, yet not pasty looking. I think that would be the color for you, too.

If you are a natural redhead--likely you have cool-toned skin. Flower's Foundation (currently) is distinctly warm/yellow-toned, and will not match cool-toned skin well.

If you color your hair red and have warm/yellow-toned skin then Flower's foundations likely will suit your tone well. This foundation provides a natural finish and a buildable texture. It is kind to fine lines and is not drying.

Depending on your skin, many over-40 deal with discoloration, hyper-pigmentation. Use a formula that boasts 'blurring' technology. Take care with terms such as 'illuminating', this can mean subtle to strong light-reflecting particles. Subtle can work for many, but much stronger and it will enhance wrinkles! Fairer skin tones can not tolerate as much product as skin tones that get darker can. So, use the least amount of product to do the job and you will have the best results. Spot conceal where necessary, and take care around the eye area that you do not use any products that produce 'cakey' result. Remember, that you want to look like there is 'life' in your skin, so avoid full-coverage foundations in general.

For someone older, I would suggest either the Face The World Tinted Moisturizer or the About Face Foundation. The Tinted Moisturizer is lighter and thinner consistency so it won&#39;t be heavy or harsh on your skin. It gives a subtle sheer coverage so it will only even out your skintone, plus it&#39;s moisturizing. The About Face Foundation has medium to almost full coverage so if you have any acne or dark spots it would be great to cover those. It&#39;s thicker than the tinted moisturizer but still very liquidy and blendable. This foundation is very gorgeous. It&#39;s not an oily/dewy finish yet it&#39;s not a cake-face/powder/dry finish either. It&#39;s very gorgeous. My suggestion is if you want to simply even out your skintone, go with the Tinted Moisturizer. If you want more coverage, go with the About Face Foundation. Good luck!

Sorry, but this question is impossible to answer without seeing what your 'medium' skin looks like...but, there is a way to try.

First, for Flower's Foundation, you have to be warm/yellow-toned to get a nice match. If you are cool or distinctly neutral, then this product line is #currently# not for you.

Then, if you hold a bottle next to your face/neck, choose the shade closest #err on the darker side#. Then, buy another bottle two shades lighter. #This method works with this range, as there are more than the usual shades to choose from.#

Use the lighter shade in the center of your face #under eyes, nose, around mouth, between eyes/lower center of forehead#. Use the darker shade around the perimeter of your face #around hair line, jaw bone, cheek bones etc. Mix colors when necessary. After some trial and error, you should get some satisfying result.

Sorry, but without seeing you in person, this question is impossible to answer distinctly...but, I can give you some general guidance.

Flower's liquid Foundation gives more of a medium buildable coverage, so if that is what you want then keep reading...

If you look at the foundations in the store, hold a bottle next to your skin and choose the one that looks the closest (go with the darker foundation if you can't decide.# Then choose two shades lighter. #This only works with this range, as they have more shades than usual.) Buy both of these. Use the lighter one in the middle of your face, and the darker one around the perimeter of your face. Darker on the cheekbones, lighter on top of the cheekbones. Mix the colors for a better match as needed. This may take some trial and error, but will give a much more natural result, and become easier to do over time. Look for some on-line videos that feature contouring techniques. Watch more than a few to find some tips that can work for you.

seriously the best foundation I have EVER tried! so inexpensive but such high quality. it's amazing and i would recommend this foundation to anyone who has dry skin... i have very dry skin and i can kind of get oily in my t zone area but nothing that powder can't fix! it is definitely worth it to me!

Im 100% new to this whole foundation routine. I thought putting foundation on was a complicated process and I wouldnt be able to achieve good results. Boy was I wrong! I was strictly a liquid eyeliner "cat eye and go" type girl, but as a young woman of color, my hyper pigmentation was beginning to make me slightly insecure, of course no one but myself has noticed these flaws but some days I just want to look flaw-LESS! This product was my solution. The shocking part was Drew Barrymores line is less suspect than NARS and anything else Sephora has tried to slap on my face! It matched my tone perfectly, it blends like a charm and its good for mild redness/acne coverage. It wasnt greasy or anything. I only breakout on my forehead in little pin sized zits but this (in combination with some concealer) takes care of it all! This is a keeper. Ive seen youtube reviews claiming it does compliment cooler skin tones as well so don't let these reviews on walmart scare you away. The girl was pale as Snow White her self and she looked amazing. :)

Equal or better quality that what I have purchased in the past from Sephora and expensive cosmetics brand. I bought the color "6" and it is perfect for my skin, blending perfectly so you can't even tell I'm wearing anything at all. This is very unusual for me and a great surprise. Some reviews complain about it not being good for oily skin, but I have found the opposite to be true. Be warned though, a little goes a long way. I apply just one pump using a foundation brush and it leaves me looking polished and conceals uneven tone, scarring, and blemishes without the need for concealer. Thanks Drew, this foundation is great.

Best Foundation I have EVER tried

Love a pump dispenser. Feels nice going on with time to spread and then dries. Pleasant, minimal fragrance. Doesn't accentuate dry skin areas which was problem I was having with many different foundations (drug store brands, haven't used high end). Looks nice all day, not exactly dewy but not dry either. Chose shade 6 I think, warm tone, shot in the dark but is ok. I am caucasian, easily reddened, light skin but in the sun some so not snow white. 51 yo with plenty of sun and age showing ; ) Might change shade but will definitely order again. Experimenting w/ second application as concealer in red areas. I am not very skilled at makeup application but this has worked well.

After using Dior for years, paying 62.00+ for just foundation is nuts, I do miss it though, because the color match goes way above. But for a product that is about 1/3 the price this does well. It has no smells, it matches the skin okay. Not oily nor does it leave the face looking dry and cakey. I was happy using it and felt comfortable. Also, coming home after 6 hours and seeing it stayed on without fade or sweating off made it nice. I would recommend this but pay very close attention to the coloring to make sure you get one that does match.

I love the price, quality, look, and approach of Flower Product Line. However, I can't match the skin color with my face due to the fact it is online.
It would be awesome if Drew could tell us what color SHE uses on her face and that could be a point of reference.

Due to these problems, they received the average rating. I hope that they are excellent when the right color is obtained! With how good the other products have proven to be, that could be a good indicator!
