Rated 5 out of 5★ by Smoothsounds Great brush axe It goes though things that you would never think it would. I have personally chopped off a 3" branch from a tree in one hard swipe. It wont do that with oak or maple but on softer trees. It will take a 1 1/2" oak or maple in one swing. This thing is great. 05/28/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Dekeasa Superior Machete I use this tool to clear brush and small trees. The hook end is a real improvement over the traditional machete tip. This is best used as a green-wood clearing tool for trunks and limbs up to 4", or pruning up to 1", in skilled hands. The only thing faster would be a chain saw, but with all the time spent working on a gas saw, I'm not even sure the chain saw would win in the end. Either way you need to watch the shins! This tool needs sharpening out-of-the-box (it comes poorly ground). This is pretty much the only down side to the tool. I always keep one in my car ...obviously I live in the country/river valley. ONLY USE IT ON YOUR OWN LAND!!! 07/06/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by mach3pt2 I live in south Florida where the Florida holly/Brazilian pepper trees are a nuisance. The Fiskars 9" Brush Knife cuts through all size holly limbs with very little effort. Other native growth is equally managed. It has become my "go-to tool" when doing clearing up work. 06/22/2010

Rated 4 out of 5★ by Castzpg Great tool. I bought this to clear a lot of brush in my back yard. It ranged from vines to 6 foot weeds to 3 inch branches. So far I've had this a couple weeks and it has done the trick. I may need to be sharped more than expected but it certainly does the job. Just a hint for any branches of any thickness, a two handed chop usually does the trick in one shot. 08/18/2014
