This product exceeded my expectations. I honestly cannot figure out why this was so hard to find, I am so glad that Walmart had it available for online order. It has so many different things to keep the baby entertained. In fact, all my kids love it. The baby loves the lights and chews on it and my two year old and three year old love all the music and the foot keyboard. I am happy that this product will grow with my baby. It only took me a few minutes to put it together.

We recently purchased this for our 5 month old son & it was well worth. I love to watch him figure out all of the different gadgets. The fact that it will grow with him is a plus.

I thought about going with something less expensive, but i'm glad i didn't. My 6m old daughter loves this. It slides back and forth, and spins all around. There's so much to do, it keeps her entertained for a lot longer than anything else we've bought her - like her walker. I'm so glad we got this. Now, when i'm making dinner, or doing household chores she's entertained long enough for me to do everything! Strangely her favorite part on this is the removable tray. Very durable, easy to put together (or at least watch dad put it together).

My sister bought this for my daughter for Christmas. My daughter absouletely loves it!!! She will play in it for a long time and uses both her hands and feet to make sounds. I love how it spins completely around so that she can use both sides. I would definitely recommend it!!!

    • A. There are 2 adjustments via clips on the seat. My son is 25" and is juust big enough. When baby is too big, the seat can be taken off.

    • A. Only the seat has a height adjustment. You can strap up the seat higher as your baby grows. When your baby is able to stand on his/her own, you can completely remove the seat so that they can still stand on the keys and play with the toys.

    • A. No, the legs don't adjust. There is a clip in the seat that allows you to adjust how high up or how low they sit. My son is able to reach the keys easily and he's of average height for a 5 month old.

    • A. The legs no, but the seat can be adjusted slightly for longer kids. My son is about 25in (head to foot) and can touch the keyboard at the bottom, but from what I can tell infants under 25 in would have trouble reaching the bottom. I've included a picture where you can see that my son barely touches the bottom.

    • A. You can completely turn the music off. There is also two settings for the music: one is just music, and the other is music with singing. You can't turn the key sounds off, though, and still have the lights light up. The only way to make the piano keys stop playing music is to turn off the entire toy.

1-)Does the Step 'N Play Piano offer a glider that slides completely for the baby to put his/her feet on the ground? 2-)The description box says must be under 25 pounds.. What if the child is 16 months but weighs over 25? Are they not allowed to play? Thank you.
    by TreysAngel 6/26/2012

    • A. Yes. The unit itself is stationary but the seat slides back and forth so they can still experience walking. Once the infant can walk, the seat can be removed and it can be used as a musical center. If your child is over 25#'s and can't quite walk yet, you might need to wait to use this product until they can walk.

    • A. This means that once a child weighs 25 lbs. the seat should be removed and then the child can continue to enjoy it without the seat. My 1 year old grandson is still crazy about it without the seat attached!

    • A. If you mean for baby to be able to walk around like a walker, then no. But there are different height settings for the seat-my son is 26" and is juuuust big enough. Also, the weight is for safety reasons so that the seat does not break-however, you can completely remove the seat so he can play for years :)

    • A. Q1...the seat itself can glide from one end to another (which it does very smoothly) and it has locks on both end which can be pressed at the same time to have the seat come all the way off. Hope that answers your first question! Q2...I can only speak from personal experience on this. I have a 3 year old and an 8 year old who have walked on the piano keys (when the seat was out) and the toy has held up really well.

    • A. I'm not exactly sure what you mean about the glider, but the seat does glide side to side so that the baby can access all toys. If you're asking if the entire toy can glide like a walker, the answer is no. They baby can only stand on the piano keys. As far as weight, if your baby outgrows the seat and can stand on his own, you can remove the seat completely and he can stand on the keys and play with the toys. I've even heard of four year olds playing with this toy.

    • A. 1. Your baby should be able to put his feet on the ground when sitting in the seat. 2. I'm not sure about a baby over 25lbs sitting in the seat part but we have it converted to the older stage and my 5yr old plays with my 10 month old on this toy and we have had no problems. She runs around on the piano keys and it holds up pretty well.. she's 36lbs.

    • A. 1) The seat comes off. It is easy to attach and remove when the time comes. 2) I believe the weight limit is for the seat. I would guess that seat isn't designed to hold more then 25lbs.

    • A. The legs don't have a height adjustment, so it would depend on how tall your 16 month old is. My 6 month old can reach the bottom on her tiptoes. I think a 16 month old would stand up too tall in the seat when stretching out his/her legs. You can remove the seat feature and let a toddler walk on the piano keys.
