My daughter got this for her first birthday, and I have mixed feelings about it. My daughter was walking pretty well by that time, but still lacking a little finesse, and this was not a toy that she could easily use at the time. It is not sturdy enough to lean on, so the child needs to be pretty proficient at walking. It also only works if it's held at a certain angle, so it took my daughter some practice. Now, a week or so later, she's gotten a bit better at walking, and has learned to hold it at the right angle most of the time, so she can actually play with it. However, this should not be called a popper, as the balls only spin around inside at best, and they can be difficult to pick up as well. (It also does not stand up on its own like the picture suggests.)
On the good side, the music for the toy is quite pleasant, and not obnoxious at all. It also only plays when it's being used, which is really nice. Unlike other walking toys, it's really easy to maneuver, so I don't have to constantly be turning her around to walk the other way when she reaches a wall. The sliding feature is a nice bonus, as well. All in all, it's not what I expected, but it's still a nice toy, just with a slight learning curve.
