I didnt not give this 5 stars because we just purchased it a week ago and so far all is great. The steel frame is very reassuring that it will stay together. The wheels seem to be able to take a beating, going on and off curbs. My 5yr old absolutely loves it, she's getting to be a pro-- going faster, turning sharper. I would definitely recommend this to others. The price was a little steep for us, but so far its been worth it.

    • A. Battery is in the back. Very, very easy access for charging. We own 4 different brands of riding toys and this one is by far the easiest at accessing the battery.

    • A. The battery compartment is in the back and you push a little button and a door opens and the battery slides out. We then bring the battery inside where we charge it but the manual dies say you don't need to remove battery to charge.

    • A. The battery is located in the rear. Flip open the door to the battery area and remove the battery. It is a bit of a snug fit so it takes a little maneuvering to remove the battery. The car will easily run an hour or longer on a charge.

    • A. Battery is located at the rear. There is a little pink button that you push down and the battery door opens. Unhook the cable and pull the battery out. The battery sits down in a small cavity to keep it from sliding out so you have to lift up on it slightly to remove it.

    • A. Its located in the rear of the vehicle inside the little compartment. You can charge the battery while its in the vehicle or by unplugging the battery from the vehicle and removing it completely to charge it. I prefer to remove it completely.

WE CAN'T TELL ANY SPEED DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANY OF THE SPEEDS. ARE THERE 2 DIFFERENT GEAR SHIFTS FOR THE 2 FORWARD SPEEDS? HOPEFULLY YOU CAN HELP ME FIGURE OUT THE DIFFERENCE AND GET THIS RESOLVED BEFORE WE HAVE TO RETURN IT. THANKS, DAVE

    • A. Out of the box, this riding toy has a Phillips head screw already screwed in to the gear shift lever that keeps it from going into high (5 mph)gear. Unless you remove that screw you will only have 1 speed forward and 1 backward. Remove the screw and you'll get low and high forward. Incidentally it mentions this in the assembly instructions.
