    Great Swing, Great Price

    Customer review by StormyDaze04

I've had the swing for over a year now. My little girl is 20 months. Did a lot of research before buying, and I agree with other reviews - seemed to be the best price with best reviews. I have been very pleased. Easy to put up. Great quality, and u can lean it back for smaller babies that aren't good at sitting up yet. She still swings in it. I did have a problem with figuring out how to open the tray. It's actually really simple once you figure it out. You push the tab on the left that's under the tray (the tab that snaps in) - you bend it in to the right a little before you lift up on that side of the tray. I was pulling on the tray and driving myself crazy before I figured it out. That extra step actually makes it extra safe. Love the swing. The tray is a nice feature for snacks an a drink.

I dont have a tree in my yard but i do have a metal swing set in my yard will it hook onto the swing set without me haveing to get any attachments.
    by an anonymous customer
    • If this is the Fisher Price Infant-to-Toddler Swing, then yes. The swing comes with hooks that you can either attach to hooks on the swingset or loop around the swingset beam and latch into the existing rope. YES.

    • We have a metal swing set. We did not put one of the items on & put the baby swing on those hooks. (We have 2 swings attached & had hooks for a 3rd - that is where we put the baby swing. You can also attach it without using the hooks (wrapping it around the top bar like it is a tree branch), but we thought it would scratch the bar, so we did not attach it that way.

    • Ours hooked right up to where a regular swing was with just what the swing comes with. My inlaws hooked theirs right up to their metal swinget without purchasing anything extra. Good luck! It's a great swing!

    • Yes, it has large hooks that go around a tree or frame of a swing set that hook on the rope that the swing is hanging from.

    • What kind of swing set,one for adults or a kiddy swing set.If it's a kiddy one didn't it have a swing once? Measure between the original hooks.

    • the swing comes with rope that has hooks on the end. I removed one swing from my set and put this swing in its place. I did get two eyebolts and locknuts at the hardware store to let me keep the other swing intact for later use. (The instructions with the swing say you can simply loop the ropes over your top pipe and hook them back to themselves)

    • Yes, it will hook onto a swing set. But we got swing hooks from wal-mart for like $5 and just screwed them into the roof of our porch. and hung it out on our back porch! It works great! Our 1 year old son loves it.

is the tray totally removable? also, does the tray "snap" into place or does it just slide up and down the swing ropes?
    by MLC1
    • NO. Yes. It slides on one rope, notched out for the other rope.

    • The tray is not completely removable. It snaps in and out of place, and then swings off to the side (completely out of the way) so you can get the child in and out. It also goes up and down on the rope.

    • The tray on this swing slides up and down the ropes on one side. It would be a challenge to take it off. It does snap into place to hold the child in (along with straps).

    • The tray is not totally removable. On one side, the rope goes through the tray and on the other side there is a cut out notch for the rope to go into so the plastic prongs can snap into place on either side.

      by bradj9999

    • No, the tray is not totally removable. It is permanetly attached on one side to the rope and "swings" or "swivels" open out of your way to put baby in and out. Both sides of the tray then "snap" into place to secure it.
