Rated 4 out of 5 by KMHsMom Popular toy but a bit limited Dora is cute and had Wow factor for our 3 year old. The doll is very hard plastic and lacks a cuddle factor, but is well built for the tricks which she can do well over and over again.Dora has 4 routines that are started by pushing the star on her chest. The routines are fun to watch. Dora gives some nice verbal queues asking the child to interact at times by moving arms up, etc. I liked this part because it engages the child's listening skills. Dora speaks English primarily, but introduces some Spanish words as well.A limitation is that all the routines use the same 7 moves in different sequences and, after a few days, it seems a bit "routine" for the price paid. Also, some of the moves sound mechanical and the toy's sound doesn't quite cover it. The toy performs as advertised though and is good quality.All in all, a solid toy and I would buy again if my child continued to be a Dora fan. The toy comes with 4 AA batteries installed. It does not come with the gymnastics mat which is shown on some of the product photos. Also, the box notes it works best on hard flat surfaces. We have hardwood floors and it works great...not sure about carpet. 12/27/2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by jo04 Was skeptical at first! After reading many reviews, I was skeptical at first! We got this for my 3year old daughter and she absolutely loves it! Dora sings, says all her phrases, and does the moves! You have to help her do the handstands but its ok b/c it gets my daughter a little more into it! 12/31/2012
