I bought this tablet for my daughter for Christmas, she is Eight-years-old. I opened it to play with it a bit because I got stiffed over a tablet I have bought from W-mart before and I must say. This one seams to be alright it has Google Play so she can download all the games she likes. The casing is solid and strong. The style is sleek. It speed is okay not as fast as my Zoom but it is less than one-third the price. It slows down if you have more than one thing running at a time like some of those games that like to run in the background. But I downloaded an alarm clock and agenda(with alarm also) had those running with a game no problem. Cameras are decent, picture quality is excellent. Good tablet for a teen or kid.

Well this is my 1st tablet !! But its my 3rd one in trying to find the right one . At 1st I went for the the biggest cheapest tablet you know thw best deal !! So I bought a (((Ematic EGXL 10in tablet))) about 90 dallors , and in having a I-phone 4 I thought the screen would work the same way , Its was allful I had to really press hard even after ajusting the screen and in doing that it still didnt work right , I found nothing good about this tablet !! @@@@ Next I bought a nook it was ok but no camera and you can only use Barnes and Noble apps and stuff !! But everything about the Nook worked ok !! 1ST, 1ST ,1ST place=Then I found my** Champion** this tablet is trully a awesome tablet !! The Filemate Clear Tablet to me works better than my sisters I-pad( by the way she loves the clear tablet to) !!! Its fast, everythings ready to go out of the box !! so its a easy to get started and use .. thats very important to me I'm not a computer savvy guy , just a avg. guy learning to use a tablet !!! Also it has every option for a tablet I'm truly happy with tablet !!! A high quality tablet at 50% less than other tablets ( 134.00 price)that work this well !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by YauYauB This is a keeper!!
This would be my 2nd Filemate tablet. I used to own the filemate Identity tablet which I really liked, so I decided to stick with the newest version of Filemate. I must say Filemate clear was quite an improvement from the previous version, faster processor, great LCD screen, expandable storage. Great quality at this price point!
Rated 5 out of 5 by traveller67 Fantastic Tablet
This unit is all it is advertized as. The video is clean, crisp and clear. The operating system is traditional and its' speed it fine too. If this is your first, or fourth Tablet you'll love it too.
Rated 5 out of 5 by P97835 I got the red one as a gift and I love it! It is really easy to use and there is no lag on touch screen like I had with my last inexpensive tablet.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Llsweets Love this Tablet
I have really enjoyed this product. So far so good. unfortunately u can't get flash for Android any more, what a bummer. Netflix no go at least for me. other than this , there is so much to do on this tablet. For me it is fast, I don't really use Chrome, I like fox and Dofin. Alot of space, downloading games and all my music. Not done yet. Walmart is great, product came when they said. I have never had a problem with them. Hopefully, I won't need the extra protection I brought, but I believe they will honnor it without a hitch. I got the red Filemate and it looks classy. Love it.

Every thing about FileMate Clear 7" T720 is good but not perfect.
Bright screen and high resolution
I install more android games then my lenovo android tablet.
It 5 point touch screen.
It light weighted
You could install netflix but it have to be a hack version search online netflix black edition for this android version.
Could move software and game to SD card.
Battery life is very good.
You could use micro usb to charge the tablet.
Couldn’t install original version of netflix
Some 3d shot game can’t be play, even thou it could be install.
Some dust particle inside the screen but not noticeable if the screen is on.
Cpu do get a bit warm if it on for more then 30 min. If I were you get extra warranties it only $15.
If you like a tablet for gaming, music, video and light weighted, this table is way better then Samsung 7 inch tablet because it give you more option. But the touch screen is way more responsive in the samsung tablet. Remember Samsung 7 not made for heavy gamer because you can’t transfer game to micro sd card.
Rated 1 out of 5 by lewis01 Manufacturer do not stand behind Product
I bought my tablet in February 2013 for my Birthday; one day in June 2013 the tablet stop charging. So I sent it back to the manufacturer so they will fix the problem since it is still under the one year manufacturer warranty. First problem they will not return your telephone call, next problem they respond by e-mail only and you can not resolve an issue. I have e-mail them over a dozen times trying to fix the tablet. Tablet will not charge and the company Wintec say their is physical damage; how, the tablet is intact and is look just like I just bought it, just will not charge, I did not alter the tablet any way, just stop charging using the orginal charger that came with the product. Ask them how much to fix the tablet and still Wintec will not fix the tablet and they give the same spill about physical damage and will not fix their product. So I guesss they are sending a broke tablet back to me. What other options do I have.?
Do not recommend because the MANUFACTURER DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!!
Rated 4 out of 5 by bigguy4 great tablet for the price
Great tab had to give it a 4 cause the front camera is kinda bright not a real good picture but a great add since the file mate identity I had before didn't have one the 16 gb storage is a plus overall great for kids with Walmart warranty being only 19 bucks

This is a great tablet. Didn't want to spend over $300.00 on the ipad mini, so I gave the filemate clear a try. This tablet exceeded my expectation, escpecially at this price. Clear tablet is really solid compare to other $100ish tablets I played with. Processor seems to be decent, micro-SD slots helps cuz I watch a lot of movies. Great buy!
Rated 4 out of 5 by bellamomma06 Awesome value!
I bought this tablet after returning a crummy hkc I bought off here. This one is so much better. Great screen quality. My only complaint is that some apps don't work with it (netflix doesn't open), and my husband had to manually install flash player. Otherwise it seems like a great tablet for the price. My daughter is watching a movie on it right now!

Rated 5 out of 5 Most Bang for the Buck
Most bang for the buck
I’ve looked at several generic android tablets and chose the Filemate Clear with many advanced features as the best bang for the buck. Here are comparisons with many of the $100 tablets:
-------------------Filemate Clear -----$100 tablet
01 -------Screen : 1024x600 IPS ----800 x 480
02 ---Processor : 1.2GHz Cortex A8-- Cortex A8
03 System RAM : 1 GB DDR3 --------512MB DDR3
04 -int. Storage : 16 GB --------------4 GB or 8 GB
05 ----Pad Type : Capacitive Touch-- Capacitive Touch
06 -Android OS : 4.0.3 -----------------2.2, 2.3, 4.0,4.1
07 ----Camera s: Front (VGA)& Rear--Some: Front (VGA)
08 -Ext. Storage : 32GB microSD-------Most: 32GB
09 ---HDMI Out : 720i --------------------Few: 1040P
10 ---Bluetooth : 4.0 EDR ---------------None
11 ------Battery : 3,400mAH ------------2,500mAH
12 Google store: yes -------------------sometimes
Why this is important:
1. 800 x 480 is good for a 5" tablet, barely adequate for a 7". One review of a generic tablet stated “slight grain is evident everywhere”. IPS technology produces a much brighter screen that can be seen at a much wider viewing angle, but with up to 15% higher power consumption.
2. 1.2GHz Cortex A8 was top of the line a few years ago and could perform everything at that time. Then manufactures found they could change the layout a bit and cut the die so it had 2 CPUs per chip instead of one #Dual Core# and eventually 4 CPUs #Quad core#. The processor has to monitor Wi-Fi and blue tooth, respond to the touch screen and run the game among other tasks. A dual processor #Dual Core# can for instance, assign one processor to the game and the second to all the other activities. Quad Core can divide tasks among 4 processors. The processor divides its time into microsecond size slices and devotes each slice to each task determined by priority. In a compute intensive task #3-D rendering is Very compute intensive# a single processor may starve some tasks such as the touch screen. Why doesn’t everyone just switch to quad core? They are Much more expensive. They take 4 times the room on the die so there is one quarter the yield per die #or worse#. That alone would dictate 4x the price. If there is a flaw in the die a chip may not be usable as a quad core but may work as a single core processor which makes the single processor even cheaper. The prices for quad core are going down as R&D costs are recovered and die yields rise and competition reduces the premium that can be charged for them, but not enough yet to see a quad core processor in a sub-$200 tablet.
3. Review comment: We noticed that they #generic tablets# bogged down especially once app usage exceeded 400MB of the 512MB of available RAM. Usage comment: Monitor software regularly showed 410MB of 1024MB #1GB#
4. Several reviews of tablets with 8 GB of internal storage stated that the Android Operating System took up all but 5 GB. Given that: A 16 GB tablet has 260% more storage than a 8 GB tablet and 1300% more storage than a 4 GB tablet. Apps can Not be run from the external SD card and must be in internal storage or in RAM.
5. Even the cheaper tablets now have capacitive touch pads. Beware of those that still use resistive. If they don’t mention it they don’t got it.
6. Newer OS have more features and take up more internal storage. You can go to the Manufacture's website, www.wintecind.com, for a Q&A that lists difference between Android 2.2 and 4.0
7. Need a front facing camera for video chat. 2 Megapixel rear camera is adequate at best
8. The micro SD card is where you want to store all of your eBooks, movies/videos and music. Leave internal storage free for application software.
9. The HDMI output is one of the weak spots for this tablet. Usually if a manufacturer doesn't mention a specification they are embarrassed to do so. I had to email the manufacturer about it. They promptly responded. One TV Review: If the TV is 32” or smaller you will not see any difference between 720i and 1080p. At least the tablet does offer mini HDMI Out. Many even high end tablets do not.
Use Comment: Worked just fine and looked good on a 30” HDMI equipped TV.
10. Bluetooth allows you to use Bluetooth enabled headphones, keyboards, mice, etc. and to talk to a Bluetooth enabled phone. My Palm Tungsten could send phone numbers from its contact list to my Bluetooth enabled Motorola.
11. This is one of the tradeoffs between a mediocre screen and an excellent screen. You battery usage is up to 15% higher on the IPS screen. Higher pixel density means more pixels must fire for any given image, which also raises the power usage. The battery is somewhat larger to than most generic tablets to partially compensate but huge batteries are expensive so another trade-off. You can improve battery life somewhat by reducing the brightness, turning off Blue Tooth when not in use and doing the same with Wi-Fi. Usage Comment: built in power monitor reports 60% drain from the screen, even turned down to lowest brightness setting.
12. Google Play store is the source of thousands of applications #apps#. It is possible for a tech savvy person to add it to a tablet if not preinstalled, but it’s much easier to have it already installed.
A note on Stability: Some older or misbehaving new apps may cause a system to freeze up or reboot. If your tablet is unstable and crashes often right out of the box it is probably defective. If it becomes unstable later it may be caused by some recently installed software. There is a reason that Windows 7 has a recover utility that can set it back to a known stable configuration. The Handy Scriptures app on my Palm worked just fine on the Palm Tx and its predecessor Palm M5, but would cause the Tungsten to reset/reboot whenever I’d exit after doing a search.
The factors I felt most important were 1, 3, 5, 6, somewhat 8 and 9. Our favorite game is FreeCiv which should run just fine on a single core processor and DOSbox which allows us to run some legacy games such as MiceMen and Conquest. We don’t much care for FPS. The only major negative I see is that it doesn’t have a 5” screen so I can carry it in my shirt pocket as a substitute for my ailing Palm Tungsten, but the only tablets that size I’ve found that I considered adequate and reliable enough were the Samsung Player 5, Android 2.3.5 and $50 more; and the Samsung Note 2, which cost nearly $700. This should do until the prices drop on the smaller form factor tablets.
Actual use: We were able to get roughly 5 hours from the battery before it popped up a “low battery” warning. Default screen #no animation# and brightness turned all the way down #still plenty bright#. We were able to watch a movie together because of the wide viewing angle which is something we couldn’t do reliably with our 15” laptops without a lot of distortion.
We bought an OTG adapter from Amazon for less than $2. Contrary to manufacturers Q&A we can plug a regular USB keyboard or USB Mouse into the adapter. They worked just fine. We can plug in a USB drive. We were able to view the files on the USB drive with the Android file manager and view the contents of Word, Excel PowerPoint, PDF with Office Suite #free app from Google Play Store# by tapping on the file. Haven’t tried to copy files between the USB drive and the internal 16 GB and/or the 32 GB microSD card. I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work.
Definitely watch the YouTube videos by Charles. They were a big help, Especially the one about Google Play Store. It warns to check “permissions” and check 1 star reviews for patterns. Search T720 on Youtube.
Change the default screen display timeout from default 1 second #appropriate for an Android cell phone# to several minutes. Otherwise you’ll be constantly tapping on the Power button to bring the screen back up.
Had to do a hardware reset #small hole in back next to volume buttons# when I turned it off after a download from Google App Store hung up and it refused to turn back on. Everything was reset to normal.
Rated 5 out of 5 by slb4 Great product so far. I ordered 3 as Chrismas gifts and have been playing on it since it as arrived. Good touch screen and fairly fast internet speed. I does have google play and all apps that I have download are compatible with device (instagram, facebook, twitter, pandora and games), unlike HKC that I returned. Trident Case - Perseus Series for Kindle Fire fits really well but I did have to cut out hole for camera and charger. I also couldnt find screen protector to fit but was able to modify Ipad screen protector to fit. Great price and have recomended it to 3 other so far.
Rated 1 out of 5 by PJP1 DO NOT BUY!!!
We received this as a gift and had a hard time charging it. Finally after playing around with the charger we were able to use it once. Once again trying to charge it didn't work. We emailed FileMate's customer service and they sent us direction on how to reset the device. Problem was, it couldn't charge in the first place. I had to tell them 3 times that we couldn't follow their "tips" because it wouldn't charge. Finally they told us to return it to them, at our cost. 2 weeks later we get an email that the device was damaged and they wouldn't fix the product. We used it once and purchased a tablet cover to go with it to make sure it wouldn't be damaged. It was never dropped, it was never handled incorrectly, and once again, used only once. Their customer service is horrible and they will not help you when the device doesn't work. I suggest getting a Kindle. They will send a replacement and take your old, unworking device with no questions asked. Plus they will pay for the shipping & handling, unlike this unhelpful company.
Rated 3 out of 5 by PapaBoudreaux Good not perfect
The tablet is visually pleasing with great screen and high resolution. The tablet seems to run apps great (games and so forth.) but at times it suffers in the ability to surf the web. This despite being connected to a very fast internet connection. I believe it is a value in that it is solidly built and preforms well at many things. I have made some videos I will post links to so that you will be able to make a better informed decision.
All in all, if purchased you can always take it back to Walmart for a refund if not satisfied and my plans do not include this.
Rated 5 out of 5 by leedad06 so far they seem to work really well.
I bought two for my oldest kids. Just set them up and downloaded games and such before wrapping them for christmas. I didn't see a great deal of difference between these and my nexus 7 except these have sd card and hdmi out etc that mine doesn't have. I was impressed with them. Of course only time will tell if they hold up but I don't have any reason to think they won't. My home desktop is a filemate and I've had it about a year and love it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by KoolPup Great Value 4 the Price, BUT....
Very slow internet. Researched "Slow Tablets" & found out that if you go to "Settings" and then "Apps" Disable Chrome, Google Play Books, Google Play Magazines, Google Play Movies & TV, Google+, Talk, etc... and any other Apps you do not use you will see your internet fly. They are power hogs. Also disable "Accounts & Sync" When you want to look at your email, just hit refresh and sync it yourself for faster connection, instead of it constantly syncing itself, which is the default setting.
Hope this helped. I love my tablet now that I've tweeked it!
Rated 5 out of 5 by flem06 Best tablet similiar to galaxy at a reduced price
I received my filemate clear 2 days ago and I am blown away. The screen is amazing, it is flawless. My friend has the samsung galaxy 2 and she had to admitt that my screen looks better than hers. The internet browser is fast and I can download most apps in about 1-2 minutes. The sound is ok, not loud enough to enjoy music without headphones. The only problem so far was that there was no flash player, but thats not the companys fault. I recently learned that all newer tablets running google apps won't support adobe flash players. But a quick web search found a solution to that issue, just google archived adobe flash player and your up and watching whatever you like. Overall for 139 dollars this tablet is by far worth it. You won't be disappointed.

Me and my husband were debating on an Ipod touch for our daughter, but a friend suggested an Android tablet, So glad we decided to get this instead. For anyone looking for a very user friendly tablet this is definitely one to get. We ended up getting 4 of them for our kids for Christmas. I think our daughter will really be shocked, of course she wanted an Ipod for Christmas but this is so much better than the Ipod touch. My 7 year old has had two versions of the ipod touch and if I knew then what I know now I would have never bought an Ipod touch to begin with. The picture quality is so clear and vivid, the apps are very quick to download and install they take minutes not hours like the ipod apps, The unit itself powers on and loads quickly, camera quality is great, setup took just a few minutes. Im almost jealous that I didnt get one for myself! By far a great buy.
Rated 4 out of 5 by LowerBamaDude It's what I was looking for
The keypad, and buttons in general are a tad on the small side, but other than this minor quibble I have found this item to be very close to ideal for my use. I can read my email, view my Dropbox files, etc. I don't do social media so I can't make any constructive criticism in that area, although I believe it would prove adequate. This tablet is quite speedy once booted up and I think is reasonably priced for what it offers the user.
Rated 5 out of 5 by LA1951 This is a very good made tablet. I have a Le PanII and wanted a good 7" tablet for my wife, well after returning 3 tablets I found it in the FileMate Clear.
Rated 4 out of 5 by HoSay Overall great tablet
I purchased this tablet for my 9yr old son . I read some reviews and carefully looked at the specs. I have been playing with this tablet all day long. Google play works great, games work great, video playback works great, music playback works great, book reading works great, Youtube and Netflix work great. It is very responsive and easy to use. Speaker volume (I was shocked) but sounds really good! With a good headset, it sounds even better.
The screen is very bright and battery life have exceeded my expectations. With normal use and a live wallpaper running, I’m going at over 5 hours and still have 44% remaining. Tablet comes with 2 built in browsers. A basic browser and Google chrome. Both work but I found that Google chrome is a little slower. There is no flash support but playing videos using the apps (Netflix and Youtube) work great. I personally believe I made a great choice. This tablet is great for everything!
Rated 3 out of 5 by Badbatch Tablet lasted 2 days tops!
I bought this tablet for my 9 yr old son. I ordered it on line on Walmart web site. I got the tablet 5 days before delivery date. I also purchased a 2yr warranty for it. We opened the tablet and fully charged it as directed to do so on the owners manuel. After it was charged the picture was nice , sound and size! My son loved it! I was like yes I scored with this tablet good price and it was really easy to use. Next day my son got home and the tablet didn't turn on. So I thought maybe it was the outlet. So I tried another outlet . But no nothing ...it didn't turn on it was completly dead and not charging . I didn't want to bother to call and make a claim to the warranty department because I was like wow my son used it like 4hrs! I just returned it and got my $ back. I probably got a bad one :(. I will be purchasing another brand of tablet soon hope it last longer!
Rated 3 out of 5 by nuismer A DUD!
I bought the Filemate Identity Tablet a couple of years ago and like it a lot. But it is getting dated and I wanted to upgrade to this Tablet. I wanted the IPS screen, the faster processor, the improved operating system (Ice Cream Sandwich), and more memory. After I ordered it, the current reviews were critical and I hoped that I would get a good unit. I got a DUD! After charging, it would not get beyond the Boot Screen (CLEAR). I had to hold down the power button until it shut down and then restart. Over the next couple of hours setting it up, I had to use the reset hole many times to get out of lock-ups. And several times in the middle of doing something, the Tablet would re-boot without warning. I did a system reset as a final try to correct the problems - no help. As others have noted, it gets warm on the back of the right hand side. The specs are good for this tablet but you have to luck-out and get a good one. This is one reason I buy from Walmart - I'll send it back without a hassle.
Rated 5 out of 5 by ProudMommy2005 Exceeded My Expectations! Would give 10 Stars!
I actually purchased 3 different brands of tablets for family members this past Christmas. This is by far the BEST tablet that I bought out of those 3. (The other 2 were HKC and the Meep! kid's tablet---never buy a meep! they're horrible by the way) The HKC tablet is nice but this Filemate Clear is WAY BETTER. I wish I had just bought 3 of these! I have a Toshiba Thrive and I would say this little tablet is good enough to even be compared with it. Its also a great value. 2 cameras and 16GB storage space plus the screen resolution is absolutely AMAZING! It doesn't freeze up at all and it runs apps quickly and efficiently. Another thing that's great about this tablet is that you can see the screen clearly from ANY angle. The HKC tablet I bought in this price range did not have this feature which I think is important because it can really play tricks on the eyes. The screen is bright, the colors are bright. It has a beautiful display. You can't go wrong with this tablet. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about it. Choose this one, you'll be glad you did!
Rated 4 out of 5 by adoreangie IF YOU DO NOT NEED NETFLIX BUY THIS!
ORDERED FOR MY 4 YR OLD SO SHE CAN STOP TAKING OVER MY GALAXY TAB. HER FAVORITE THINGS TO DO ON MY GALAXY TAB IS PLAY GAMES, AND WATCH NETFLIX! I WAS 100% SURE THAT NETFLIX WOULD WORK WITH THIS TAB BUT IT WON'T EVEN OPEN. THIS IS MAJOR TO MY DAUGHTER BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT'S FAST, LIGHT, HAS A BRIGHT SCREEN, AND THE TOUCH FUNCTION IS HIGHLY RESPONSIVE. TEMPLE RUN LOOKS GREAT AND WORKS FLAWLESS, IT EVEN LOADED AND PLAYED HBO GO FROM THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE.
