  • A. I would definitely recommend that you use the utensils provided with the set only or similar plastic/wooden utensils. Do not use metal utensils, as it will scratch the bottom.

  • A. The lid for the largest pot fits the largest skillet perfectly. The lid for the middle size pot is not quite big enough for the small skillet, but fits down inside it about 1/4".

  • A. I am a representative from Farberware cookware. We do not recommend using the lids from the saucepans or Dutch oven on the skillets. When using a lid that is not made for a particular pan, it could cause a possible vacuum seal.

  • A. The bottom is not completely smooth, but it's not rough. I can't be certain, because I don't have that kind of stove, but I do not think it would scratch it. When you look at the attached photo, the black rings are raised the highest and seem to be made of the same material as the smooth exterior of the cookware. I do think the silver rings in the picture would scratch, but since the black rings stand higher than the silver, the black rings are what make contact with the stove.
